I went the second time to Macao, as my fiancé and I really enjoyed their drinks. We decided to bring my two brothers along the next day. The four of us patiently waited outside in line for about 10-20 minutes until we went inside their store as their policy states that there is a limit of 5 people. There was four of us inside, as well as another person ordering in the store - a total of 5 people.

A group of people came in, about 6-7 of them, as they said, “it’s cold out”. They seem to be mutual friends with the owner of Macao, and of course they allowed them to stay inside the store regardless of the policy.

Right after my fiancé and I got our drink, we got kicked out of the store, yet we were still waiting for my brothers’ drinks.

Next time you put a policy up in your store, you should consider following it too. IDGAF, if you’re mutual friends with someone, you make them wait in line like the rest of the customers. And if YOU decide to go outside and get bobba, even though there’s a pandemic, the least you can do is follow protocol of COVID-19.

A shame that specific drinks need to be ordered in particular cups. I would not mind spending a little extra to get a different drink in their cute cups.

The boba pearls, which should have been soft and chewy, were clumped together, stiff, and nearly impossible to sip. It completely ruined the experience. We stirred, we tried to enjoy it, but the texture was off in every cup.

We truly wanted to love this place. The vibe was great, and the excitement was real—but all of it faded with each disappointing sip. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but for first-timers like us, it felt like a dream falling flat.
