Most people would only know of the existence of this shopping mall by having to go to IKEA. This would not be the place to go to if you want dining options. However, the free parking is generous and so are the offers for joining their loyalty club. With the Marketplace supermarket, it’s rather easy to hit the minimum for free parking if you couldn’t find anything in IKEA, although I would argue the choices are plenty despite the size being behind the Megabox and Shatin stores. It’s also a good choice to park if you are trying to head to Discovery Park which is connected to this building.

Utterly atrocious location if you have any form of buggy or trolly, especially the large Ikia. We had to wait for staff every time we changed floors just to use the lifts hidden in the bowels of the store. When we tried to leave the mall itself, we were stuck for nearly fifteen minutes waiting for various deliveries skipping past us. Probably a really good workout walking from the MTR station to the mall; hence the mall name 8 meters and a half. To be honest, it is rather small with a few eateries.
