Al-Manara Hostel — Local services in Matruh

Al-Manara Hostel was not just a bed for me to sleep in, but a place for me to call home while I was Marsa Matrouh and Egypt. Every morning, I would wake up to the cool breeze and cerulean waters of the Mediterranean sea from my balcony. For breakfast, I would take a 5 minute stroll to buy hot and fresh Egyptian falafel for only 5 EGP (less than 0.25 USD) and drink traditional sweet Bedouin milk tea. In the afternoon, I would take a 10 minute walk to the beach, where I swam in the Mediterranean Sea and sipped on fresh fruit juices. At night, I would frequent game cafes near the hostel, where I played dominoes with the friendly Egyptian locals. If I wanted to explore on a longer trip, I would call a taxi conveniently from my doorstep right outside the hostel. After a long day exploring, I would go back to my room, and take a nice, hot shower and relax on my phone with the fully equipped, free Wi-Fi. When I was ready for bed, I would sink into bed with freshly cleaned linens and warm, soft blankets.

The customer service at this hotel was unparalleled in Marsa Matrouh. Whenever I needed help with anything, the friendly and professional receptionist would be ready to accommodate any of my needs. The location of the hostel was perfect, and I felt like I was in the center of all activity in Marsa Matrouh, whether I wanted to go to the busy market district of Alexandria or the peaceful beaches down the street. Like I said earlier, Al-Manara was not just any hostel but was my piece of home. I will definitely be returning to Al-Manara...

It's time to write a fare review about this amazing place. I'm a regular guest for more than 3 years now and it didn't fail to impress me everytime.

First thing is the value like quality for price is great. The service, rooms and apartments are really cool with some seaview options. The location is the best, it can't be better actually right in the center of the city where you can find everything around and the area is really alive all day and night. You can walk everywhere and also easy to get transportation to the lovely beaches out if the town.

The staff and hosts are amazing and very helpful everytime I needed something they care to get me the best help and solutions. They are also very respectful and friendly.

The best rooftop to see the sunset and sunrise ! The view of the blue sea from the rooftop it is breathtaking! All the days I woke up early to see the sunrise and do yoga and meditation there. Is a magical spot ! There are some beduim tends on a rooftop and you can feel the vibe off the city ! People from Marsa Matrouh are very kindly. Don’t leave without drink a cup of tea in a rooftop! ||This is my second visit here and I am just impressed again with the overall experience. Clean hotel , super friendly staff, great facilities and one of the most beautiful beaches in the world . There’s nothing more you need here to have a wonderful stay.
