We were actually tricked to go here as a “free city tour”. We stopped on three places - viewpoint, marina and mosque. Second part of the tour is visit to this shop and souvenires shop. All combined we spent MORE time in Nefretititi than in other places. On top of that they put us in a room to give us a presentation about how oils are good. No kidding, had no idea they are healthy. If I knew this whole tour would just be a scam to actually get us to this shop I would never go.
The employees are all Russian speaking and they won’t leave you alone. They are so AGRESSIVE. As soon as we entered, this woman became like a glue. She would not leave my personal space or me to the point I was uncomfortable with having her in my personal space. Wherever I looked she looked. They have this silly discount to trick your mind “of but today is 50% discount on everything. Probably if you read this 2 years from now, they will still have discount. They talk how they are a world famous company but they had no single add or product labeled on English, only Russian and Arab. Talk about world famous products. As for the parfume, if I knew one thing I know how my parfume smells which I use for the last five years. They had apparently that parfume in the shop, but let me tell you it does not smell even close to the real deal. As for the oils, I can’t speak because I had no desire to buy anything because of how agressive their employees were. So in the future, I recommend you be honest from the begining, and just label this as NEFRETITI SHOP TOUR and not...
Read moreVisited this store as a part of the city tour. Yes, we spent more time here than anywhere else. And it's sad, since Hurghada has more places to go than a oil store. At first, you have an introductory "lecture" about the properties of the oils - the woman was just reading from a page. And oh, every malady you can imagine can be cured with oils! *eye roll. The same oil can treat about 10 different maladies. Pretty big umbrella, huh? Then you are allowed to enter the store. "The boss lady" noticed that I was browsing alone and immediately ordered (in Russian) for a salesperson to accompany me everywhere. That's annoying. The prices are high (even with discounts) - they have discounts, but you always have to ask what the actual price is - why they can't print and display the right prices is beyond me. They boast of this "cold press" method - but I believe you can find a reliable and cheaper option in your local country if you are looking for oils. Cold-pressed oils are not something unheard of.
I know, this type of sales might appeal to some buyers, but I prefer a different approach and didn't enjoy this experience. I didn't...
