We stayed in Serry Beach 19th-26th September 2025.

Pros:

Beautiful, aesthetic resort - you really do feel like you're in the middle East, especially at night. The larger than life design is like something from Dune. It's breathtaking from some angles.

Incredibly well staffed - There's always a bit of work being done to keep it looking as fresh as possible.

The staff for the most part were extremely pleasent, which I appreciated, given how hard it must be for them to do that day in and day out.

Food was top notch, plenty of variety across 5 restaurants.

Entertainment schedule was great, lots of activities for you to get involved in free of charge if that's your jam.

Great selection of drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) that were all part of the all inclusive.

Weather - 0 rain, blue skies and hot everyday, you know what you're getting.

Extra little something - you get the vibe that the staff are willing to go that extra mile for you should you request it.

Large resort - the hotel and its grounds are pretty big, you've got a private beach right at your doorstep and 2 pools to choose from. There was never an issue getting a sun-lounger despite the fact we were late risers. You won't want to leave the hotel tbh it has everything you could want if you just want to chill.

Access to waterpark across the road. You have free acess to the sinbad hotel literally across the hotel that has a small waterpark. We went and it was a lot of fun.

Souvenir shops - There's one on the hotel grounds and there's loads of them right outside the hotel if you like to do a little bit of shopping. If you're into your colognes/perfumes, you're spoilt for choice both in terms of price and quality. Buy it while you can, we wish we'd bought more!

Experiences - the hotel has a designated guy at reception offering a variety of experiences. Yes, it's slightly more than if you were to book it through a 3rd company, but if you book it through the hotel you can get picked up straight from the hotel beach or outside the hotel and spare yourself the faff of an hour pick-up across multiple hotels. We took a trip on the 'Quest' boat for 3hours to Magawish island. Would highly recommend it, shout-out to Mahmood (his mate and the driver), he was brilliant, a great guy, very friendly and welcoming. Serry if you're reading this, give that man a raise!

Room cleaners - were excellent, Ayman (probs not how you spell it), was lovely. We came back to the room multiple times to find flowers had been laid on the bed. A nice extra touch.

Cons:

Service was occasionally slow, the first day we arrived we struggled to get served by the pool.

Quality of cocktails - They were hit and miss. Nur made great cocktails so we'd often serve ourseleves there and bring them to the pool. Poolside cocktails were of lower quality.

Delhi Belly - I'm of a weak consistution anyway, but I was struck my delhi belly on day 2, my partner was fine. No idea what caused it, could have just been the radical change in diet you get when you go all inclusive, but I felt poorly and struggled a lot for pretty much the rest of the hol. I felt especially sick after going to the seafood restaurant, despite enjoying the food and experience there at the time. Fortunately we brought diahrrea pills with us that managed to somewhat fix it, but the nausea remained.

The app - we struggled to use the app to book restaurants and the internet connection was temparamental, so depending on where you were you might struggle to find the poolside menus for example when you need them!

Nas - the nightclub was great, but the drinks were expensive and weren't part of the all inclusive.

The main pool - a pendantic comment I'll admit, but the main pool floor needs repairing. It was flaking in parts. It's probably something they'll do in the quieter winter months, it wouldn't surprise me if it's been scheduled already.

Overall:

A lovely hotel, we'd...

TLDR: If you don’t want to read the full review, here’s the short version: this hotel is worth visiting.||||For those who prefer a detailed breakdown, here are the pros and cons we experienced after staying at this hotel for a week at the end of August – beginning of September 2025. ||||Pros||||Atmosphere and Interior||The hotel makes a strong impression right from the driveway: white, elegant, and modern. The lobby is spacious and tall, designed in an eco-style — it feels grand and airy. The hotel grounds are well-maintained, and the rooms have a modern eco-friendly design that feels comfortable and stylish.||||Service||Good service is not always easy to find in Egypt, but this hotel does it well. The service at the buffet, pool, and beach is very decent, while the service at Keif restaurant and Naz cabaret is truly excellent. We were also pleasantly surprised by small touches: sunbeds prepared with towels, staff cleaning sunglasses on the beach, and engaging activities such as volleyball, snorkeling, and more.||||Food Quality||Again, not something you always find in Egypt, but here the food quality is really good. At breakfast, lunch, and dinner you’ll find a wide selection: fresh fruit and vegetables (delicious mango and fresh mango juice), meat, poultry, and seafood. There is a permanent Italian station with pastas and pizzas, and a dessert station with a great variety of sweets. Food is neatly served by chefs, not piled together like in many budget hotels.||||In addition to the buffet, guests can book à la carte restaurants (once per week). The highlight for us was definitely Keif restaurant: beautiful interior, excellent food, and flawless service under the supervision of Maged, who deserves special thanks for making our dining experience outstanding.||||The Sea and Beach||The sea is clean, and the beach is kept in good condition.||||Guest Orientation||A big plus is the guest experience manager, Alexandra. She contacted us after check-in, responded quickly to all our requests, and genuinely cared about our stay.||||On the second-to-last day, we met with Alexandra in person, and the hotel director also joined us to discuss our experience. They both listened carefully and took notes. This shows a true 5-star approach — the hotel values its guests and strives to improve.||||Another modern touch: the hotel has a mobile app for restaurant reservations, menus, and activities.||||Cons||||Drinks||Staying true to their eco-friendly concept, the pool and beach bars use acrylic glasses, but many of them are scratched from constant washing. For a 5-star hotel, this detail should be better maintained.||||Cocktails are made with local alcohol and don’t seem to follow a standard recipe. Ordering the same cocktail at different bars often results in completely different flavors. Simple mixes (whiskey-cola, gin-tonic) are usually fine, but more complex cocktails often miss the mark due to inconsistent proportions.||||Housekeeping||Unfortunately, this is a weak spot for many hotels. A few times we found hair on the floor, the minibar wasn’t always restocked, and dust remained in hard-to-reach areas.||||Beach||In early September, there were many small flies (as we were told, it’s the season of high humidity). The hotel treats the area every morning, but it doesn’t help much. Also many sunbed mattresses are worn out and in need of replacement.||||In the end the hotel still has room for improvement, but even now it offers excellent service, good food, and genuine guest care. And that, in our opinion, is what matters most.||||We left feeling well taken care of, and with the sense that our stay truly mattered to the staff. That’s the kind of emotion that makes you want to come back — and we...

We have just returned home from our 7 night stay at Serry and we absolutely loved everything about it, I honestly can’t comprehend how anyone could rate this hotel anything lower than 5 stars. We aren’t usually the type of people to visit the same place more than once but we are already planning when we can return and hopefully will be doing so sometime next year. Everything about the hotel is perfect: the facilities, decor, atmosphere, location, food, and staff were all outstanding.

We booked via easyJet and the transfer said it could take up to 45 minutes, but the journey was only around a 10 minute drive from the airport to the hotel which was perfect. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and easily the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. Getting nice pictures is so easy as every part of the hotel is so aesthetic and stunning and the view of the ocean was lovely. The room was beautiful and really clean and comfy, there were robes and slippers in the room as well as a Serry beach bag which was ours to use during our stay. The beach is literally a few steps away from the hotel pool which we loved as I could sunbathe while my partner went for a swim in the sea. He also used the hotel gym most days which he said has really modern equipment and everything he needed and more. There is a sauna in the gym and the hotel also has an onsite spa.

The staff can’t do enough for you and are so friendly, many of them were celebrating Ramadan when we went and worked very hard and were very cheerful and friendly while fasting for 12 hours a day which we hugely respected. All the staff were so polite and wonderful but some which we got to know by name are detailed below:

Mohammed Kamal Hussein at the rooftop terrace: so friendly and attentive, memorised our drink order straight away and was so lovely to chat to while he served us Mohammed Hassan at the pool: very friendly and attentive, knew our coffee orders every morning and came to us when we were by the pool straight away to bring us these which was such a nice start to our day Youssef Mossen the room attendant: cleaning staff were all fantastic and so friendly and the rooms were immaculate everyday! Mena Samaan the manager of the seafood restaurant was lovely and we had a lovely meal Mohammed Ali at Nur beach bar really nice to chat to and so happy to serve us Animation team were lovely and hosted some great activities, my partner did darts on the beach and the diving introduction and loved both. The range of activities/entertainment was great and there is really something for everyone to try. Mohamed Osha who served drinks in the lounge area was really friendly

The staff really do go above and beyond to make sure you feel so taken care of during your stay. We had someone approach us by the pool during our first day to ask if everything was okay with the room and if we needed anything, and there are staff going round the pool during the day to offer to clean your sunglasses for you which we thought was really special. We also met the hotel director a couple of times who was really friendly and was approaching people to chat to them and ask how their stay was which we thought was a really nice touch and demonstrates how much the hotel values guests.

We absolutely loved Serry and can’t speak positively enough about the hotel and the holiday we had there, we actually started looking at holidays to go back there on the way home to the airport which is a first for us! 😂 thank you very very much to all the staff that make the hotel so special, we hope to...

I'll start this review off by saying that Serry Beach Resort is not a 5* resort. Videos/photos attached for your reference. Summary - This resort is 5* only in the look of it. The service, staff, food and overall experience at Serry Beach Resort is 2/3* at most. The standard at this hotel is just not where it needs to be for the price point and star rating. An overwhelming majority of the guests are from a specific demographic who seem to enjoy this resort, you may too, but if you’re expecting a high standard, look elsewhere. CONS THE FOOD (and drink) 1. The food is abysmal, you will most likely not have a hot meal at the 'buffet', the flavours are incredibly lacking, selection is poor and even 'safe' options like pizza and chips/fries aren't done right. I'm not even a picky eater and tried a lot of things... it got to the point where I dreaded going to dinner because of the disappointment that I expected. 2. The breakfast buffet, you'd hope that would save the Serry Beach Resort in the food aspect but that's not really the case. Margarine labelled as butter, uncooked porridge... 3. The drinks are subpar, for a 5* resort, pure juices should be served not cheap juice drinks. The alcoholic drinks are also rarely done correctly. 4. The one-reservation-only restaurants couldn't even save the food at SBR. The rooftop restaurants service is incredibly slow, food still came out cold and meats incredibly tough. Keif (the asian restaurant) was decent, I was served a questionable 'soup' and at this restaurant I requested a tea and they could not provide it because the coffee machine was broken... how could a 5 star resort not have a kettle or the problem solving skill to boil water on a pot and serve it to a guest who's paid ££££ to stay there. The service was also very slow which caused guests to have to wait, 30+ mins after reservations and seated guests were asked to sit outside for desserts that took 40 minutes to arrive...I didn't bother trying the other Mexican and Seafood restaurants after that. 5. I ordered a hot chamomile tea at the sunbeds, it came cold with a hair in it... 6. None of the cutleries are cleaned for any of the food services. THE SERVICE 1. The staff at the Serry Beach Resort are not 5*. If they're not on their phones, giving sharp/harsh answers, redirecting you to somebody else for simple questions (who don't know the answers either) they're gawking at women, even little girls... very distasteful and inappropriate. 2. I requested an iron and ironing board, the ironing board I was provided was broken, dangerously broken that I ended up cutting myself with it, the iron was also dirty, I called for this to be replaced and it never came. Irons and Ironing boards should be standard in the room for a 5*. 3. I have to say it again... the staff are constantly on their phones, they will look at you and continue on their phones, I would understand if they weren't at work, but they are. THE ROOMS 1. The kettle was faulty, the lid would pop open mid-boiling which would cause steaming in the room, it didn't look the most sanitary so I didn't bother using it to drink but to clean instead... PROS - The resort has beautiful aesthetics and a good scenery. - The hotel is a 6-8 minute drive away from Hurghada airport, close to ATMs. - The rooms are tidy, spacious and have good storage space, and room service clean the rooms well. - There are activities to do during the day. - The minibar is restocked everyday.
