An interesting little museum explaining the history and workings of this important wine growing area. You will learn about how the geography, history and soil influences the taste of the wines, plus there is lots of information about what happens during each season in preparation for the annual harvest. You are given a set of 3D glasses when you enter - so make sure you watch the short film in an immersive cinema! You can also take a walk through the sensory garden - where you can smell lots of aromatic herbs - many notes that are found in the local wines. This is a great stop for any wine-lovers visiting Sancerre - for 10 euros per adult you can explore the mini museum-like tour, which includes a 4D film, beautiful aromatic garden, and lots of well presented information about the wine making process. Afterwards, head up to the tasting room where your ticket price includes 3 samples of wine. You can even top up the tasting card if you want to try more (which we did!) Must go to in Sancerre to learn the basics of wine production and the history. The 4d cinema was interesting and immersive, although actually expect 4d experience (in case dog is with you).
