La Tour — Restaurant in Bourges

Pleased we reserved in advance to eat here. Firstly, the staff were excellent. We listened to them dealing with people who had limited French and they were very professional. We opted for the surprise menu with both veggie, meat and fish courses. All were excellent. The cheeses were in perfect condition. The accompanying wines were also well chosen but there was one of the whites which was not to my taste initially. However, it matched the food superbly. I came here with my family in the spring of 2016! One of the best dining experiences I have ever had in France! Immaculate and incredible cheese selection, the seasonal dishes were superb, it was well worth the money according to my parents and best of all, the kind and attentive staff were very accommodating no when it came to my disabled brother, making him a fantastic puree des pommes de terre a la minute and a light delicious protein (une petit poisson je crois)! 5 stars for the food, but much less for the overall experience. I went to the restaurant the day before and booked a table for 2 for the following evening, and they said they could just squeeze us in. What they didn't tell us was which table we would get. When we arrived we were taken through the kitchen to a small separate room behind the kitchen, and with a big round table without a table cloth.
