We didn’t stay here but Ms. Frederique the owner was a tour guide at a local Vineyard. She spoke perfect English and Spanish for us in addition to her native French. She was on time and super courteous. She has great knowledge of the wine and history in the area. Her hotel was recommended to us for future stays as we were told it has great food and nice rooms with AC in the town. We arrived late in Sancerre after abandoning a hotel in Pouilly (hotel there was awful). I phoned and Frederique, kindly met us at the hotel and opened especially for us. The room we had (Botanique) was superb, the bed was ultra comfy and the amenities/decor and warmth were brilliant. Frédérique was an incredible hostess and made us a lovely breakfast the next morning, even finding Gluten Free bread for me. The location is just off the main square, so close to everything. There is no parking but there are car parks about a 5 minute walk...

You must stop here during your visit to this city! We have been in France for two weeks and eaten at numerous restaurants. We have been looking for fresh delicious food, and this was truly a gem. Everything was fresh and local. The desserts were exquisite, and Jeremy was incredibly friendly. We ate there and got another sandwich to go because it was so good.
