Canet — Local services in Nice

Following lunch on rue Massena we strolled along rue Longchamps to stumble on Canet, a quaint and relatively small patisserie and chocolateries. Their dessert presentations looked delectable so we decided to enjoy a brief respite in their small café behind the shop. We ordered a thick hot chocolate (which poured like syrup and was delicious) as well as a hazelnut chocolate mousse. Also delicious. Definitely worth a short stop. Also, don't forget to enjoy their hobbit sized second...

We visited Canet in Nice after a friend’s recommendation. The shop has a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service, which made for an enjoyable stop. We tried the Galet and a raspberry pastry — both were good, nicely presented, and clearly made with care. However, we found them a bit overrated for the price, as there are equally good pastry options around Nice at more affordable prices. Still, it’s a lovely spot to try if you’re nearby and want a taste of refined...

This is a very lovely cafe. We stopped by on our way back from a restaurant where we didn’t feel like having dessert and decided to try this charming place instead.

We ordered three desserts to sample — everything was great.

The desserts were moderately sweet, the coffee was good and the service was pleasant. They even served a glass of water with the cappuccino, which was a nice touch. Overall, I can give this caffe a positive rating....
