THEFT IN APARTMENT. PICK A FLAT A DISASTER.
We want to leave this comment, to help those who plan to rent a flat with Pick a Flat, and tell them DON'T DO IT. If you have any kind of problem in the accommodation, they will not help you at all.
In December we rented a flat with Pick a Flat. As we were arriving before check-in time, the host told us to safely leave our bags to the person who was cleaning there. We left the cleaner the four suitcases and a backpack. We took one pair of keys as the cleaner told us that he would leave the other set in the security box.
When we arrived at the apartment three of our suitcases were missing, the backpack was not there, and the door was not forced. We contacted the host, because the one who had last been with our belongings was HIS employee. Also the keys were not in the box. So it was a bit suspicious.
Pick a Flat, from the beginning, did not help us at all. What's more he told us on the phone that he was not going to return any of the money. As much as we told him that the one who could have robbed us was his employee and that, obviously, we could not stay in that apartment since a set of keys was missing.

After a month of fighting with Airbnb, it seems that we are going to receive a complete refund. But, we have to say that the compensation for the theft that we have received is very little compared to everything we had to buy later. Airbnb does not have insurance against these cases.
Anyway, WE WANT TO REITERATE that Pick a Flat has not been involved at any time in our case and left us aside from the beginning, without being interested ever again. We want to remember you the most important part, the thief was an EMPLOYEE of Pick a Flat. They have not been able to find and talk with this person, with our belongings, and tell us what could have happened to them? It is impossible. They simply have not wanted to help.
In this issue Pick A Flat could have helped perfectly from the beginning. Ok, the refund has to be paid by Airbnb, but we are talking about something that has to do only with Pick a Flat. We are talking about THEIR EMPLOYEE, they know perfectly who he is, but never told us anything else. Clearly it seems they have not been interested in helping with this either.
That is why we want to warn all those who are thinking of renting an apartment with Pick a Flat. Attached images of the help they give when someone steals (even their employee) in one of their...
Read moreWe booked an apartment through Pick A Flat for a trip to Paris in February, relying on the location marker on their website, as well as a listing on Expedia, which all indicated that the apartment was a 13-minute walk from the Louvre. However, after completing the reservation they sent the actual address, and we discovered the apartment was over an hour and 15 minutes away by footâlocated in an entirely different part of the city. We immediately reached out to Pick A Flat to resolve the issue. Since they offer multiple apartments throughout Paris, we requested to be moved to a location closer to what was originally advertised, even offering to pay the price difference despite the error being on their end. Initially, they responded by simply resending the incorrect address, but after a few emails, they stopped replying altogether. In one of their responses, they acknowledged the mistake and stated they would update the advertisements to reflect the correct location. While Iâm glad that no one else will be misled, that does nothing to help usâwe booked the apartment under the assumption that the original location marker was accurate. We followed up repeatedly over the next several weeks, as our trip is fast approaching. Today, after sending yet another email, we received a delivery failure noticeâPick A Flat had blocked our email address. Multiple attempts were made to resolve the issue in good faith, only requesting a refund in the fourth email. We even sent messages in both French and English to make communication easier for them. Pick A Flatâs customer service is absolutely abysmal. The error was entirely on their part, yet they refused to engage or offer any resolution. I strongly advise against...
Read moreMOUSE IN THE HOUSE ! We rented a Paris apartment; 26 Avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie for 9 nights for 4 professional adults.
Pick A Flat apparently sent an âexpertâ who couldnât find any proof of a mouse/mice (verbally we were told they would fumigate) and refused to cover any compensation. What benefit was it for us to lie and spend time mediating with Pick a Flat, losing precious family time in Paris? A rodent is a health and safety issue. The guests included medical doctor and lawyer - people who adhere to strict code of ethics.
Pickaflat are unprofessional , unethical, slow to respond, and we strongly recommend you refrain from using...
