Chances are you will have a carefree online shopping experience with this company. I've had many successful deliveries. However if you don't live in Paris and want to return a damaged item you will have serious issues. The most notorious items are creed flacons. They leak during transport. Most leak just a little but if you are unlucky maybe most of the bottle will.
I will try to help you if you are in such a situation. If you a receive a damaged item from Nose do not engage with them. I say this because they use delay tactics and encourage you to "open the box and record a video". Do not open the box and take plenty of pictures for evidence. Contact PayPal directly. And after Nose have delayed as long as they can Paypal will hopefully decide you must return the damaged item to receive a refund. However, in my case, not before being asked to report the incident with my local police station! I also had to contact government agencies! And provide documents of this to paypal. Yes, you read that correctly!
Now for the difficult part. Couriers will not carry flammable liquids and they will definitely not carry leaking items. However you can send the damaged item through a third party company. A business can send dangerous goods in the post. Just make sure it is packaged in zip lock bag to prevent further leakage. Hopefully you will be able to get your damaged item back to this company. However you will still lose money because Nose will not cover the return delivery fee.
In the end I really didn't care about spending €80 to send the damaged item I received back to Nose Paris. What really annoyed me was the entire month I spent jumping through hoops to fulfill my rights as a consumer that received an item of non-merchantable quality . You see, most people just give up. But I wasn't going to let them send me a wet box for the price of €600 and get away with it . As a loyal Nose customer, I feel I was treated with utter contempt. Shopping with Nose online is a bit of a lottery. Hopefully it works out well for you. However this is not a lottery I would ever...
Read moreI have tried going to Nose during the week, when there is no one. I have tried going to Nose on the weekends, when it is fairly crowded, my experience has always remained the same : the in-store customer service is always, always terrible. This weekend for example, I happened to come in when the store was very crowded, and the sale assistants were occupied with some clients, which were very comprehensible. But then when one of them is finished, I tried ask for her attention, she told me that she would be back in five sec, and while I was waiting for several minutes I spotted her with new clients who just came in (which, btw, happened to be the same type of people but that's for another discussion 👁👁) And when I was smelling perfumes and talking with another woman, we happened to observe a very interesting interaction of Z. being very haughty, borderline rude, towards a young man, which we were quite shock about. Cherry on top of the cake, when I finally (!!) got a SA to get me the perfume I want to buy, at check out when she started to take my card I told her that I had an account. She told me that she would take my info after payment, and asks me to wait for the samples I requested. She immediately went to the people at the scent bar and completely ignored me (I had to ask another SA for the samples they brought out, and my purchase was never registered to my account). I have always had excellent experience with Nose online store but the client service in store is unfortunately very unpleasant every single time. What a shame that 1. Nose has a very large selection and 2. in 2025, sale assistants are still snobby and (lowkey)...

First of all, Paris is a picturesque and multi-faceted web of streets but rue Bachaumont must be one of the most stylish spots in this town. The rain gave the cobblestones a polished glow and the trees shone a vibrant green over the red break lights. There was also fresh, clean air.
I found this store to be more artisanal than Jovoy (rue Castiglione), Galeries Lafayette, Bon Marché and other commercial perfumeries. Even the widespread brands (Penhaligons, Creed, etc) are those operating close to the artisanal level.
Among the smaller brands, Unum was an intriguing discovery. The perfumes are so unique and strange, that they offer whoever wears them a whole new level of self-expression. Once I use some of my current stock, I will be choosing an Unum.
My favorite was the amazing line by Nishane, namely the Hacivat X Istanbul and the Wūlóng Chá Shanghai. Both are beautiful and balanced, but also alluring and surprising. Wūlóng Chá refers to Oolong tea: a specialist tea type famous for growing on solitary rocks and Taiwanese mountains. It actually forms a part of the blend.
This store’s prices revolve around €150-€250 per 100 ml - the same as you would pay for a generic synthetic blend sold at an international airport.
My only disappointment came from bringing the store’s agarwood sample to my nostrils and not smelling any agarwood in it. The sample should be renamed to aquilaria, as I smelled positively zero oud in it.
I love this area and I want to visit this store again. The thought of my next olfactory journey...
