Kur-Royal Day Spa in Kaiser-Wilhelms-Bad — Local services in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe

Honestly... this was one of the most lack luster experiences I have had at ANY spa. I am mainly writing this so that the management can see this and do something about it. Because the exterior and the garden are beautiful. However, once inside, there is nothing but a bunch of concrete 4 people rooms with different led lighting and led screens from the 1990's. With today's technology it could really use an update. One room is suppose to be like night time at a beach. but you can't even see the projection on the wall it's so dim. I have a better experience on my VR head set for free. If the spa really wants to go in the direction of integrating technology with bath house then they need to do a MAJOR over haul and install proper tech to really produce that immersive experience. Otherwise it is laughable. I really thought for a second I was in a hidden camera TV show how ridiculous it was. There is another room with sand that is suppose to make you '"feel" like you are experiencing the Sunrise at a beach. But you are only staring at concrete wall with a painting of the beach and a light show that switches from reds to blues and they have one leko shining that on the wall that is suppose to represent the sun setting. If this is the immersive direction they want to go in the owners should really visit some real immersive experiences like super blue or meow wolf and get ideas on to how to really incorporate technology into an immersive experience. Otherwise they should just gut it and focus on the actual treatments and provide more actual bathing spots. This one only features ONE small bath water temperature saline pool with NO JETS!! Like WHAT! Even the most basic spas and bath house have at least 2 temperatures like an actual hot whirl pool with Jets. And others have cold plunges as well. This only has the one pool with no jets. I have been to many bath house across the globe from Costa Rica to Barcelona and this has been the worst one for the price point 30 euros "during their happy hour" In Germany I visited one in Baden Baden that was pretty amazing. I thought this would be similar. I really hope the management sees this and gives this dated place the refresh...

Beautiful, luxurious spa with interesting offerings. Friendly staff (most of them, most of the time; the gentleman at reception was a bit testy in person, though wonderful on the phone). We were surprised there is a swim suit requirement - very unusual in Germany. And it would have been nice to be able to borrow a bathrobe alongside the towels and sauna wrap. Next time I would consider just paying for entrance separately. Our all day ticket including lunch was great, but we weren’t so hungry und the prices were quite fair anyway. Ich war vor 6 Jahren das letzte mal dort. Es ist sehr ruhig und entspannend da und man kann gut dort seine Zeit verbringen. Wie ein Tag Urlaub. Schönes altes imposantes Bauwerk. Die Massagen von der Fachfrau, sind 1a, selten bessere bekommen. 👍

Warum nur 3 Sterne? Mir fehlen ein paar wichtige Elemente. Das Soleentspannungsbecken ist leider viel zu kalt. Es ist ja kein Schwimmbecken, sondern man relaxt dort nur drin, dann braucht es schon eine Grundwärme. Das Odorium ist schön warm, vor allem die Bänke, da fehlt aber Duft. Draußen steht lemongrass, aber es riecht drinnen nach gar nichts. Sehr schade. Der Bad Homburger Solepark ist neu und sehr salzhaltig, prima für die Atemwege und sehr schön angelegt , aber leider zu unterkühlt. Man muss doch, wenn man nur im Sarong daliegt, einen warmen Raum haben ohne zu frieren. Das hat mir in den anderen Relaxräumen auch gefehlt, einfach zu kalt. Das Heubad ist ein Highlight. Sehr angenehm und sehr empfehlenswert, mal was anderes. .

Schade das es oben nicht mehr das kleine Mühlenrad gibt, wo alle paar Minuten Wasser gescheffelt wurde.

Unten die Dampfsaunen sind wirklich sehr schön warm. Das Kräuterdunstbad ist leider wieder ohne Duft und ohne Dunst und nicht warm genug. Früher hat es nach Tanne gerochen, aber bei den paar Zweigen am Boden wird nichts riechen. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Dafür ist das Sand Licht Bad wirklich sehr schön. Wie im Urlaub am Meer. Ich liebe es.

Das ganze Bad ist ein Textil Bad. Warum eine einzige Sauna nackt sein soll, erschließt sich mir nicht. Wo soll man sich ausziehen ohne begafft zu werden? Wo duscht man sich nackt? Oder soll ich verschwitzt meinen Bikini wieder anziehen? Wer hat sich sowas denn ausgedacht? Auch da 0,0 Duft. Eine Fehlplanung. Passt in das Konzept überhaupt nicht rein. Entweder Textil oder FKK.. Das ist meine Meinung.

Wenn es wärmer wäre und es mehr Düfte geben würde, dann wäre das Bad 5 Sterne plus wert.
