Ristorante Da Alfonso — Restaurant in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe

Our reservation may have been made a little late for a group, and for that the restaurant could easily simply decline, but they accepted our request and so we made our way there. Upon entering there was a strong feeling that we weren't very welcome, obviously the staff was not happy and it showed. The owner himself was rude and dismissive of customers' questions and concerns for allergy reasons. This disrespectful treatment was uncalled for, if you don't like group reservations then don't take them, otherwise no one is going to be happy, not the staff and by extension neither will the customers. If you do accept then commit and follow through, it doesn't excuse this behaviour to customers who were just looking for a place to provide them with decent hospitality that extends beyond the food itself. The food itself was good, and the cooks in the kitchen deserve praise for their effort, but unfortunately praise cannot be handed to the owner for shooting himself...

Was in town for a tennis tournament and ate there twice. Being raised Italian I can honestly say this restaurant is probably the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in my adult years (and I’m 65) welcoming staff… everyone greets you ..… the fish .. the pasta choices .. the appetizers.. even the bread and oil is fantastic. Reasonable prices and a great atmosphere. Sit outside if you can. Our server both nights was a gregarious Hungarian native who made our experiences one my fiancé and I will never forget..between our limited German and Italian and his much appreciated attempt at English he was able to suggest what menu items to order .. all were fantastic. Excellent wine (Chianti). Desserts and cappuccino are the real deal .. and grappa to top off the night . . classy crowd … dinner served at a leisurely but not overly long pace … We will be back again next year when the tournament rolls...

Ein Stück Italien in Bad Homburg - Da Alfonso begeistert mit authentischer Küche und herzlicher Atmosphäre

Als Liebhaber der italienischen Küche habe ich mich kürzlich dazu entschlossen, das Restaurant "Da Alfonso" in Bad Homburg zu besuchen, und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht! Von Anfang bis Ende war das kulinarische Erlebnis einfach fantastisch.

Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist charmant und einladend. Beim Betreten wurde ich von einem angenehmen, mediterranen Flair begrüßt, das mich sofort in Urlaubsstimmung versetzte. Das Interieur war geschmackvoll mit warmen Farben, holzgetäfelten Wänden und liebevoll ausgewählten italienischen Dekorationselementen gestaltet.

Die Speisekarte bot eine beeindruckende Auswahl an klassischen italienischen Gerichten sowie einige saisonale Besonderheiten. Die Entscheidung, was ich bestellen sollte, war alles andere als leicht. Letztendlich entschied ich mich für eine Vorspeise von Bruschetta, gefolgt von einer Tagliatelle al Tartufo als Hauptgericht.

Die Bruschetta war ein perfekter Auftakt. Die gerösteten Brotscheiben waren knusprig und mit frischen Tomaten, Knoblauch und Basilikum großzügig belegt. Der Geschmack war unglaublich frisch und intensiv. Es war ein wunderbarer Vorgeschmack auf das, was noch kommen sollte.

Und dann kam das Hauptgericht - die Tagliatelle al Tartufo. Ich kann nicht genug Lob aussprechen für die Zartheit der hausgemachten Pasta und den reichen Geschmack der Trüffelsoße. Jeder Bissen war ein Genuss für die Sinne. Die Portion war großzügig bemessen und ließ mich vollkommen zufrieden zurück.

Das Essen allein hätte schon gereicht, um mich von Da Alfonso zu überzeugen, aber der herausragende Service machte das Erlebnis noch unvergesslicher. Das Personal war äußerst aufmerksam, freundlich und kenntnisreich. Man merkte sofort, dass hier mit Leidenschaft und Hingabe gearbeitet wird. Die Empfehlungen des Kellners waren treffsicher und trugen zu einem gelungenen Abend bei.

Was das Dessert betrifft, so konnte ich einfach nicht widerstehen. Die Auswahl an Dolci war verführerisch, und ich entschied mich für das Tiramisu. Es war cremig, leicht und mit einem Hauch von Espresso und Kakao perfekt abgestimmt.

Abschließend kann ich sagen, dass Da Alfonso in Bad Homburg ein echtes Juwel ist. Hier wird die traditionelle italienische Küche mit Liebe und Sorgfalt zubereitet und serviert. Ich empfehle dieses Restaurant jedem, der nach einem authentischen Geschmack Italiens in der Nähe sucht. Egal, ob für ein romantisches Abendessen zu zweit oder ein Treffen mit Freunden und Familie - Da Alfonso ist definitiv einen Besuch wert. Ich freue mich schon darauf, bald...
