The Koeln/Bonn Airport is not really a bad experience, but it is also not a great experience. Germany in general does not like it when you ask a question or require some special processing, they prefer that you already know the answer to whatever you are going to ask. So don't expect any help when assembling or disassembling your bicycle, after arrival and before departure. Luggage carts are not allowed inside the terminal so I had to drag a very heavy bagged up touring bicycle from one building to another over a rough metal floor walkway (tearing holes in the bag in the process). Read moreProbably one of the worst experiences I ever had in transport. First, the train to the airport stopped 20 minutes in the middle of nowhere. After that they announced they would skip the airport stop not allowing us to change until we got to the stop after. At the airport hundreds of people were queuing with a very slow control. Most of them losing their flights. The passport control for the UK had also a massive queue. And then my 23:10h flight was 1 hour delayed.
