Warnemünde — Local services in Rostock

Warnemünde train station was the perfect starting and ending point for our cruise — I honestly don’t think the location could’ve been more convenient. We took the train from Berlin to Warnemünde and back, and the station is just a short 10-minute walk to the cruise terminal. It’s all flat ground too, which made hauling our suitcases completely manageable. The station itself is simple and easy to navigate. There aren’t many platforms, which makes things less overwhelming, and the digital screens are clear and helpful — they show exactly which train is arriving, the carriage layout, and which section (marked by letters) to stand at for your reservation or preferred car. Very straightforward and efficient. There’s also a small shop inside that sells souvenirs, snacks, cold drinks, beer, and wine. Definitely worth browsing if you’ve got a few minutes before your train. The best part? It never felt overly busy or chaotic, which made for a stress-free travel experience. Sehr schönes Ausflugsziel mit maritimer Kulisse. Nette Menschen runden den Besuch ab. Ein Bummel entlang des alten Strom's ist zu empfehlen. Und außerhalb der Saison kann man hier auch entspannt shoppen und das Küstenflair in sich aufsaugen.... Für alle "Fischbrötchenfreunde" hier ein kleiner Tipp: am alten Strom, auf der "Bahnhofseite" (verbunden durch die alte Brücke) bekommt ihr hinten am Ende die besten und preisgünstigsten Fischbrötchen von Warnemünde. Gleich am ersten Verkaufswagen auf der linken Seite... danach kommen noch zwei. Hier gibt es sogar 2 Heringe nebst Salatblatt etc. auf's Brötchen für 3,-€ (Bismarck) und 4,-€ für's Heilbuttbrötchen - frisch zubereitet und nicht aus der Auslage! Hingegen gibt es auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite (Leuchtturmseite) die Fischbrötchen für 3,50 € (Bismarck)...also -,50€ mehr!!! ...an den Kutter'n mit den Piratenfiguren drauf! Also, gut überlegt, es lohnt sich..... Und wenn ihr es getestet habt und auch meiner Meinung seit, würde ich mich über...
