We recently arranged a modest family gathering at our house with an estimated 30–40 guests, so we hired caterers to prepare the meal. I found Abhilasha Event's And Catering Services on Google and told him about the event. We also gave him our menu and told him that 30 to 35 people were anticipated, therefore we ordered for 30 people based on the caterer's advice because it could serve 35. Later, someone else got in touch with us posing as this caterers' supervisor and double-checked the menu. We then let them know that more people were coming, so please make room for 40 people. told him the count a few times (around five or six times), and he said, "Okay, we'll get ready." When the caterers brought the food to our house for the event, I was taken aback by the vessels, which appeared to be quite tiny. I asked the serving boys to open the vessel, and I was taken aback (stressed) by the quantity. Please refer to the attached images. The amount was one-fourth of the tiny vessel, and the mutton curry in particular was all broth with very few pieces (only about 2 kg of sheep meat). I took pictures during that time to double-check with the caterer, and the serving boy called to let them know the customer had taken pictures. The caterer phoned me and immediately became combative, asking why I was taking the pictures. I then told them This quantity won't even be enough for 20 people, even though I ordered for 40. Then he became combative and said, "I'll send the food again if it's not enough once it's finished." Then, even I became combative and questioned him how I could keep the others waiting for the meal to arrive a second time. He remained combative and said, "I'll send the food again once it's finished." I became irritated with his actions and reprimanded him using foul language. I'm not sure if that makes me the customer or if he is. We requested him to get the food after the first round was finished, but he said we didn't have the bagara rice and curries ready since everything was completed, so I could provide chicken biryani instead. Then, we placed an order to get it for an additional ten people. When the person who used aggressive language to speak to me came to my house with biryani, he called me aside and asked me why I was being reprimanded in such a harsh manner. I told him that I had ordered for 40 people, but the food you sent was enough for 20, and that you were not paying attention to me on the phone. As a result, I became irritated and reprimanded him. Then he realized it was miscommunication between his supervisor and himself. After realizing that he and his supervisor had miscommunicated, he apologized. Even biryani rice, which only comprises five or six pieces and one egg for 10 plates of biryani. He only charged for 40 individuals, even though there were 52 plates on the billing. The issue, however, is that the happiness of the people attending our function is more important than money or anything else. To guarantee that others received the food, all of the visitors ate the bare minimum as a matter of protocol. Since everyone wants guests to eat well and enjoy the occasion, the host will be extremely upset at the way things were organized by this caterers. Please don’t opt their services by seeing the rating if you want a good service or if you want your guests happiness. Even the taste is not up to the mark.
Unable to revert on your reply, hence updating my revert over here" The number which you have provided to contact for resolution, he was the one who went into the combative mode. Please let us know the resolution over here itself on how come you will get back our occasion once again and how come you will satisfy my previous guests who attended the occasion" . Also post writing this review, I have read the low rating reviews and understood that everyone raised the concern for the owner(rude behavior). I don't understand if this is done by staff means we can replace the staff but I don't know how come they strive for better service...
Read moreI opted for Abhilasha caterers few days ago, I was expecting food by 12 to 12:30 pm but it reached like 1.50 PM and had to make so many calls to get the food. When the food came, being event owner, I was busy in events on stage, after 45 mins when I checked, they messed up everything.
They didn't bring items that I selected in the menu, and taste was worst ever. Felt like I can cook better. They didn't sent correct quantity of food which was promised and even supervisor agreed when he visited after the mess. It was karthika masam month, where 25% are vegetarians, they didn't bring most important Dal, Sambhar and curd, chutneys and when guests are asked they said its not part of the menu. There was only one item on veg which was paneer but it was spoiled too. so imagine for veg members there is nothing to eat until 3.30 pm. Most of them left the event. They spoiled my image overall.
Non Veg menu, starters, Curries everything is not the same as we ordered including ice-cream. Taste is very bad and most of them left the food in garbage. Upon multiple follow ups they sent dal/sambhar but by that time all guests are done eating as they came very late.
Catering owner knows that they screwed up entire order, their supervisor didn't even review the order which was being sent, and they sent wrong order to us. And it spoiled my entire event. He didn't even apologise properly for the mess he made. All my guests are unhappy including me. I could not sleep for 3 to 4 days post event.
Customer has right to object when things are not correct, When I objected remaining payment owner started threating calls Saying he is local to the area and no security can stop being him entering in housing society in that area. This was very scary.
Supervisor has job to ensure that correct order is being sent to right customer, that failed fully no quality checks, no order review checks, no proper communications. - caused my event to fail.
Food is really important in any events, as we spent lots of money and time for event preparation for all other activities & if food is goes wrong then everything is dead end. You are left with no options whether to continue look out for event or start following up with these catering guys.
Note - I HAD TO RATE 1 AS THERE IS NO 0 RATING. this can't even go...
Read morePlease read carefully before even thinking of giving an order. Please note that I do not have anything against the caterer, just putting my experience out there so that no one should go through the same.
I had given order to this caterer for my daughter's birthday party.
Food was vegetarian.
The items that he managed to do well were: Mirchi bajji, biryani, veg manchurian, aratikai kobbari fry.
The items that were okayish: Bagara baingan, paneer butter masala, gobi 65.
The items that were not edible were: Dal (completely like water) sorakai halwa (we did not get halwa, it was probably kheer but mostly water, couldn't get into the spoon, only had to drink it). Sambar was not good.
Items that we were completely missed from the order: Our order contained accompaniments including dahi, papad, fresh veg chutney. This was a miscommunication gap between the owner and the boy (Nikhil) who supplied us the food.
So, I called the owner and tried to explain this situation. That is where things take a turn. He is probably one of the rudest persons to talk to. He was scolding all my guests who gave the service boys feedback, that they don't know anything. He was not even listening. I was trying to ask him to reduce the price per plate for only the missed items. I was even okay with items that were inedible, as at least he supplied them. But, he got too offensive and was trying to curse at every other sentence. When i told him that I would write a honest review about this experience, he directly threatened me and also said that he would abuse my phone number and I will never be able to use it again. That was a shocker to me, how can a sane person talk like that. I think he is a pyschopath, normal people don't get these ideas. I still don't know what this unstable person would do, but I wanted to warn people him. That is why I'm writing this review. He also admitted that if I write one review, he will write 1000 reviews, which explains the current reviews he has. Please don't go by the rating like I did. Please stay away from...
