Kalakriti Art Gallery — Attraction in Hyderabad

Just visited an amazing art gallery “Kalakriti art Gallary! Exhibitions on Vishnu Avatar by Arpitha Reddy & “Everything I never saw” by Nishant Dange it’s about Exploring Femininity which left me inspired & enlightened. The paintings of Vishnu Avathar and the exploration of femininity showcased exceptional artistic skill and sparked meaningful conversations about spirituality, and culture.

The exhibition offered a unique perspective on the various incarnations of Vishnu, highlighting the divine power and compassion that defines Hindu mythology.

This powerful exhibition celebrated the diversity and complexity of womanhood, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own experiences and biases.

Both exhibitions left an indelible mark on my perspective, inspiring me to explore the intersections of spirituality, culture, and social justice. I highly recommend visiting Kalakriti art gallery to experience the beauty and depth of these artworks

Timing...

It’s a small art gallery. The work is decent, the handicrafts artsy things in the 1st floor look exciting. The place is too hot - no AC turned on, no-proper fans - just couldn’t enjoy the time more than 1/2 hour. When asked the security - he tells they turn on AC only during exhibitions when there is an actual crowd ( imagine the month of May in Hyderabad with no AC in a big space- super suffocating) and this just turned the overall experience to a 3 star! A mixed experience. There was some interesting art, but the ambience of the place was not very inviting. The art gallery's shop had some good items, such as old maps. However, when I offered to buy one such map made a by a Dutch cartographer, the customer service was quite poor - not the fault of one poor woman who was left to handle the whole store. They informed us that it would take more than an hour to print us a replica. I would have been happy to pay for shipping, but they didn't seem to care about accommodating a buying...
