Tunday Kababi - Amar Colony Market, near Hunger Strike

Another branch of the famous Tunday Kababi, Lucknow, has opened up in the city. This branch is in the Amar Colony area, competing with many other players here.

It is a small shop, with indoor sitting for about 10 people. The shop is hot inside & direct fumes from the chulla irritate, so the sitting isn't very good.

The rates were not very friendly either. I understand the trend of carrying on a famous legacy, but charging Rs 270, for the food, as I've posted, was too much. That's just 4 kababs & 2 paranthas.

I talked to the owners, who seem to be going through a financial crunch. I hope others visit their shop.

I, for once, was able to make my girl taste Lucknow's famous Kebab here in Delhi & was happy at that 😊 I considered it worthwhile for a single visit, however i hope they lower their rates soon, then I'll reconsider going again.

Still good for one...

Ok so i have done my graduation from Lucknow so i know what tunday kababi is, i was with a group of friends and colleagues and i thought let them have some tunday taste here in delhi and oh how wrong i was to assume that.. we didnt tried the kababs though because i was already doubting it so we tried biriyani ( they cant mess up biriyani , right?) . Man , it wasn't even the right rice the chicken was good enough but still on the dry side and the rice was sticky and not up to the standard of the name it uses. Not a good experience. There UPI didn't work also we had to get some cash from Atm...

This was not a kebab. It was a weird uncooked paste with very little meat. One wud imagine with the outer charred coating that its firm from the outside and melt in mouth from the inside. But since inside has such little meat that even it remains like a raw paste after cooking and served as it is. If u guys truly are the tunday kebab, please take it in good stride...
