STAR Bazaar — Local services in Pune

Pathetic experience at the exit - Shashank( I believe is the security's name) - Less resource than required for the shop size - I worked at Tata HQ and feel bad about the whole experience which is against what the brand stands for!! While I will draft a formal email to the concerned, I am sharing this for other customers. My mom and I purchased at this shop on May 10. We purchased for more than 4k with a couple of bags in hand. The security at the checkout heard the buzzer and asked me to wait inorder to verify my receipt. The way he handled it was absolutely bad. I handed him the receipt with the bank statement. He let the bill fly coz of the air curtain for a moment and brought back only the shop receipt. When I asked him about the other he said he didn't get it. Worst of all is that he made me wait to check every item while taking pause to let every other customer go through with the paid stamp. In US or elsewhere, when this happens at the exit, the security either calls for help to clear others or clears the customer before moving to next one. My problem is that he didn't take responsibility to bring back the bank receipt and second is that he found a security tag on one of the items that was billed. He didn't take a moment to even apologize for the inconvenience caused by him or the person who checked us out. This reflects poorly on resource management to not have enough people or backup at exit and second on the training the employees facing customers. I visited the store primarily to purchase dry fruits, snacks, and some fruits. I was impressed by the affordability and excellent quality of the items I purchased. Particularly noteworthy was the price-to-quality ratio of the pears; they were both reasonably priced and of superior quality. However, I was somewhat disappointed with the TATA frozen fries I bought. Despite being competitively priced, they didn't meet my expectations in terms of taste and texture. In contrast, I have always found the frozen fries from ITC to be superior.
