Jagrut Sweets & Farsan — Local services in Mumbai

Kinda busy sweet shop near Andheri Market area. I would wish to write well but 🤷‍♂️ I cannot

The look of the shop's interior (working area), dirty water spread across the area at the entrance, the hands of workers inside and their way of handling food (for eg scratching armpit... 😬😬 not my dealer though, taking my money and later on using that same hands to pick and pack sweetmeat for others directly without gloves, putting certain sweets for eg. Jalebi in polythene carry bags directly)

Serious hygeine concerns for me here And these won't allow me to revisit this place again.

Bought sweets from here as gift for the people I was meeting thinking they would be great and also packed for me my favourite malai barfi to eat later in the evening.

I had to keep Jalebis for myself too and couldn't gift because who gives gift in a polythene carry bags ??? The gift wrapper also wouldn't hold proper shape ... making it totally un-giftable🤦‍♂️

Later after coming home in the evening I tried my favourite malai barfi which i had bought for me ... the taste of the sweets was also not that great as expected normally elsewhere (made me wonder what would they think about the sweets i had gifted them)

Only disappointments for...

Worst experience ever, service was the worst, food has degraded over the years but the shopkeepers ego has only increased. Denied serving food despite us already paying him (giving the excuse that he didn't hear the online payment notification). During rush hours, it gets even worse as they straight up discriminate while serving customers. Hygiene is just a myth as the dustbin is directly beside the assembly table where the food like kachori,etc. is prepared. Overall I would suggest fasting rather than eating here. If I was dying of hunger still I would refuse eating...

We have been buying Samosa, Jalebi, Dhokla, Kachori, small idli,all there snacks is fresh ,while returning from work my husband often gets snacks,even different types of Chiwda are chruncy and khakre different flavours varieties they have,sweets . For Independence day we had ordered snacks box we ordered 75 boxes, everyone enjoyed yummy 😋 snacks box.It was stomach filling. The shop is easily seen from the road. The shop is accessible...
