While our family deeply respects doctors and the challenges of medical care, we feel it’s important to share our experience, which left us with pain, confusion, and unanswered questions. I am writing this review NOT about the canteen, cleanliness, or facilities - which most reviews here seem to focus on - but about something far more important: the medical care and transparency provided to patients and their families.
My Dad walked into this hospital in good spirits to get admitted. He was not in a critical condition. Yet within just 15 days, he passed away. What makes this even harder is that throughout his stay, we were given false promises and misleading reassurances by the doctors, which left us unprepared for what truly unfolded.
Several critical concerns stand out:
Lack of Communication on Major Procedures – The death summary listed an Extensive Endarterectomy of the LAD + SVG Onlay Patch Plasty. This was never communicated to us during his hospitalization. As his family, we were never informed such a major procedure was done, and we are still left wondering why.
Missing & Conflicting Medical Records – Important dates such as January 13 and 14 were left blank in the death summary. We were not informed that CPR had been performed at any stage, though the report later suggested otherwise. On January 16, dialysis was stopped due to low blood pressure, but we were given little clarity on his real condition at that point.
Deeply Disturbing Experience During His Last Hours – On January 17, I witnessed reflex movements in my father (Lazarus sign). This was a deeply traumatic moment, yet the medical team never explained what was happening or what his actual state was.
Inaccurate & Disrespectful Records – My Dad, a man who never smoked or drank, was falsely documented as having these habits in his death certificate. Considering his 28 years of proud service in the army, this was not only inaccurate but profoundly hurtful to our family.
Insensitive Handling of Discharge & Billing – We were informed about his discharge through the billing system before being officially told of his passing. At a moment of grief, this unnecessary confusion was extremely distressing.
No Response to Our Appeals – After his passing, I sent multiple emails to the hospital asking for clarification and detailed records. Till today, there has been no response. That silence made me feel utterly powerless - as if a human life and a grieving family did not matter enough to deserve even an acknowledgment.
I am sharing all this so that families looking at the “canteen reviews” do not mistake them for indicators of real medical quality. What matters most in a hospital is transparency, accurate communication, respect for patients, and the family’s right to be informed- and sadly, we did not find that here.
I personally feel powerless after my experience here, but I am sharing this in the hope that it may help someone else make a more informed decision for...
Read moreI frequently have inadvertently passed by the Frontier Lifeline Hospital without fully comprehending the countless lives saved there each day.
On the 2nd of November, I had the opportunity to visit the Frontier Lifeline Hospital with my wife for a routine examination. The entire procedure, from registration to departure from the hospital, took some time I don't deny.
I would like to express my gratitude for the assistance provided throughout the entire period, particularly the assistance rendered by MS. PRABHA. M, who was a key member of the senior staff and was instrumental in efficiently coordinating the patients' consultations with their assigned doctors. I would like to extend my gratitude to her for facilitating our entire process without any hiccups.
Personally, I consider the investment in time to be worthwhile. After all, it's merely a small portion of our time when we visit either for consultations, routine checks, or even a life-saving surgery, which may require a longer duration.
If it takes time for you to conduct the tests and obtain reports that meet the doctor's requirements, that is perfectly acceptable. I understand that it may take time because everyone there is focused on their patients, and they are not attempting to dissuade us..
It is undeniable that no one would be pleased if the medical professionals did not devote sufficient time to listen to your health concerns. It is essential to not merely be diagnosed and discharged. It is crucial to be informed about the dos and don'ts, as well as the strategies to enhance your health. It is not always the medications that ensure your recovery. It is also the advice and positivity provided by the doctors that accelerate your recovery.
I discovered this at the Frontier Lifeline Hospital, where their primary focus is on ensuring that the outcomes are paramount.
