The most stressful and heartless Airbnb experience we’ve ever had — avoid if you’re a family or value basic decency.

This was meant to be a relaxing family getaway. Instead, it became one of the most stressful and disappointing experiences we’ve ever had using Airbnb.

We are a young family of five who originally booked 10 nights to share with close friends. When our friends had to cancel unexpectedly, we politely asked the host to shorten our stay to 4 nights — not to cancel, just to reduce it. We reached out early, calmly explained our situation, and even assured them we were still coming and using their transport, catering, and massage services.

Their response? A flat-out refusal, treating it as a full cancellation and demanding payment for nights we weren’t even going to stay. No empathy. No flexibility. Not even a conversation. Just cold, robotic replies and a total unwillingness to consider our situation.

We weren’t trying to take advantage — we were simply asking for fair treatment during a difficult change. Instead, we were met with what felt like a cash grab mentality, where hospitality and humanity were nowhere to be found.

If you’re a family, especially travelling with kids or relying on some level of support, stay away. This is not a host that cares about their guests — they care about securing your full payment, no matter your circumstances.

We just completed a magical 14-day stay at Villa Louna (KVYZ3), and it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we stepped into the villa, we were captivated by its serene atmosphere, tasteful design, and the warm welcome we received.

The villa itself is a true gem – immaculately clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need for a long and comfortable stay. The spacious living areas, luxurious bedrooms, and private pool made it feel like our own little oasis. Every corner of the villa is designed to offer both style and relaxation – the attention to detail is simply impeccable.

What made the experience even more special was the exceptional service. The team behind Villa Louna was responsive, professional, and genuinely caring throughout our entire stay. They ensured we had everything we needed, from local recommendations to seamless check-ins and quick support for anything that came up.

The location is perfect – quiet enough to unwind, yet close to charming cafes, local shops, and beautiful sights. Whether we were lounging by the pool, enjoying breakfast with a view, or exploring the surroundings, each day brought new joys.

Where to start… Very nice and new villa in the jungle rented (Villa Taya). Unfortunately the day of your arrival you are told that some constructions take place just in front (why not informing your client before so that another option can be chosen ?). Well let’s see.

First morning : 8h25, awake with the nightmare starts with loud and uninterupted noises of construction, cutting Woods etc just under our nice room jungle view 😡 Time to breakfast inside and the villa without any possibility to enjoy it. Complain at the villa manager, really sorry for us (he knew what was going to happen), he comes quickly to the villa to say sorry. Finally the deal offered by Balisuperhost is a 15% refund and they agreed with the construction team no noise tomorrow morning.

Second morning : same hour, worst noise. Second part of the nightmare 😡😡. Time to leave this house we paid 500e (8M IDR) for 2 nights… Of course I complain again that this is absolutely not acceptable and of course the « deal » -15% And no noise tomorrow is not there anymore.

End of the day : I receive a message from Booking telling me that VillaSuperHost gives me ….. 598 IDR = 0,03€. If it is another joke it is definitely not a good one.
