Omiiku - Bali's Hidden Gem for Noodle Lovers⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you're in Bali and looking for an exceptional dining experience, Omiiku in Ubud should be at the top of your list. This restaurant has quickly become my favorite for its fresh, flavorful, MSG-free noodles that make every bite feel like a step closer to a healthier, more satisfying meal.
From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a cozy, modern vibe, enhanced by a beautiful mural that sets the tone. It's clear Omiiku puts care into both the aesthetics and the food. The menu is simple yet packed with flavor. The shrimp noodle bowl I tried (pictured) was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked noodles, fresh veggies, crispy wontons, and succulent shrimp. The broth was light but packed with natural flavor, and the no MSG promise truly allows the natural ingredients to shine.
What stands out the most, besides the food, is the commitment to natural, clean cooking. If you’re someone who values food without artificial additives, this place is a must-visit. It's refreshing to know that a place like Omiiku is taking steps to provide wholesome, satisfying food that doesn't rely on shortcuts.
Service was a bit slow during my visit, but the staff were polite, and I was informed that they were training new team members. Given the bustling nature of the restaurant, I totally understood, and it didn’t take away from the overall experience. With a little more polish, Omiiku could easily become a top contender in Bali's food scene.
If you're in Ubud and want a satisfying, healthy meal, I highly recommend Omiiku. Fresh noodles, friendly vibes, and an experience that makes you feel good—both inside and out. I can’t...
Read moreWhile wandering through Ubud, I had the chance to dine at Omiiku, a noodle house that immediately caught my attention for its no-MSG promise. As someone who tries to eat clean and avoid unnecessary additives, I found their approach incredibly refreshing. It’s rare to find a spot that stays true to natural ingredients while still delivering satisfying, flavorful dishes—but Omiiku pulls it off beautifully.
The food was light yet full of character, with every bite feeling clean and intentional. You could tell the focus was on freshness and balance, not on masking flavor with artificial enhancers. It’s the kind of cooking that makes you feel good afterward—simple, nourishing, and real.
On the flip side, the service experience was a bit uneven. Although the staff were kind and soft-spoken, they seemed slightly overwhelmed. We had to wait longer than expected to order and receive our food. The owner explained they were training new team members, which made sense given the busy environment—but it did affect the overall rhythm of the meal. A bit more efficiency would really complement the quality of the food.
All things considered, Omiiku is a standout for its clean, health-forward cuisine, and I genuinely hope it thrives. With just a few tweaks in service, it has the potential to become a local favorite in Ubud’s vibrant food scene. I’d happily return, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for comforting, guilt-free noodles—as long as you’re...

The staff is friendly, and the owner is sitting in the restaurant all the time, sometimes with her little dog that barks to every customer.
As a usual place in ubud, parking space is not customer friendly. Better go with motorbike, or grab an online order.
No napkins on the table, you must ask the staff to have it.
Overall the food is good. Price is $$$ . Update on Feb, 15th 2022: They got plenty of new menus, and the good things are some of them very affordable, common price with extraordinary taste. . I like Bakmi Siap, its the best deal of price with a lot seasoning. Super mantap. . Update on May, 23rd 2022: Today I went to Hongalia in order to enjoy my lunch time. Ubud has become a busy street nowadays, it is so much crowd compared to a month ago.
As usual I ordered Bakmi Siap and a pot of hot tea. It took around 25 minutes until my noodle arrived, well I thought I could get much sooner since there were only 2 tables since I ordered it.
So, bakmi was good...as always... Tea was nice...as always... But I guess the sambal was different, it tasted less herbs and spices, just plain hot. I hope I...
