HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! A lot of hype built up, only to deliver extremely poor good quality, quantity and lacking service.
Firstly, their coffee + croissant or Danish special advertised on their board for 50k is actually 60k + 16% tax and service. The staff also tried arguing that the Danish is not included and only offered it when I walked with them to the board and pointed to show it is clearly advertised.
Our meal took over an hour to come out. We ordered the chicken Ramen and it came out with half the ingredients missing. There were 3 bite size pieces of chicken, a spinach leaf, some ginger and bean sprouts. No gyoza, no mushrooms and no nori as mentioned on the menu. As the food took so long and we had a meeting to go to, we didn't have time to wait for them to redo the dish. We asked if they'd offer a discount, due to the main best ingredients (gyoza, nori and mushrooms) missing and they refused. Poor service and extremely bad experience. Unusual for Bali, the area is loaded with amazing options for food, do yourself a favour and skip this place. Treat yourself to...
Read moreThe place was huge! It consists of a gallery, several stores, a recording studio, the restaurant itself, and its bakery/cake section merged with the museum-like gallery. The coffee was delicious, but there’s nothing special about it. The star of the day was the food! The seafood sambal matah and the crispy pork was great. Nothing’s strange or bad I could say about the food. The only improvement I would suggest is to have a guest relation personnel at the entrance of the building. When we enterred the building, there was nobody until we reached the alley in front of the bakery section. Then the lady there ran towards us very fast to welcome us while we were already inside at the center of the building. However, the owner of the place came to us and he was really nice and warm towards us. He showed us the music studio and the closed space upstair for any performance or a stand-up comedy show. The whole place was truly artful and beautiful. The service itself was great. I will surely come back to try more...
Read moreI love this place and if you like coffee and breakfast in the morning, dinner and live music at night, this is a place to visit in Ubud.
What makes Bigi World different than many other restaurants and coffee shops in Ubud is that it caters to many local Balinese.
This place is a large covered open air facility. There are tables and chairs and couch areas. There are indoor areas that are air conditioned as well.
The ambience is nice for not only the daytime cafe but also the night time restaurant/clubish atmosphere.
The menu has Indonesian and Western food choices. The food is good value and tasty.
The live bands I have seen have been amazing. They play Indonesian pop music as well as some popular western songs. You can go up to the stage and Karaoke with the band if you like.
The service staff is friendly.
Music starts certain nights of the week at 7 pm until late. Starts with a live band then transitions to a DJ to...
