The bar manager approached me on Christmas Eve and informed me that my wife and I were "despicable" to bring our infant in to meet our friends who were having a pint here. I thanked him for his opinion which I told him I would disregard. I have never been spoken to so rudely by someone who I never met before, yet alone someone supposed to be running a customer facing businnes. I will never be back and ensure that none of my friends do either. If you are reading this sir (I'm sure you know who you are), you are a miserable individual who should learn to speak respectfully to other human beings. I feel sorry for your staff...
Edited: (in response to your reply querying who it was, the man had grey hair, appeared to be older, and claimed he ran the pub).
Further response: Thank you for the reeponse, Gillian (?). There is old fashioned and downright confrontational. Two very different things in my eyes. We were there at about 10 p.m.
I told your father what I thought of him at the time but the lack of respect and the way he spoke to us warrants a 1 star review and it should in fact impact your business - that's the whole point.

Read moreWent there Friday 2nd for the ireland v France game. Got there 6.45 for the 8pm start. Many tables had reserved signs which is fair enough. We found a table with a view of a screen with no reserved sign on it. I went to the bar to get our drinks only to find when I returned the owner moving my girlfriend to accommodate for people he knew saying we were taking a booth that would fit six. I told him that this was a disgrace that we were sitting there. He then gets the other people to sit down and goes away. We then end up trying to find a seat eventually getting 2 stools in the corner. Highly ignorant and very unprofessional. We left straight after the match and won't be returning. I live in the area but will walk by this pub to any of the other bars or pubs...
