After a day out at the beach, with my friend we were hungry and we went to kodiak bc a friend of ours recomended it. It was quite late, like 9:30 I think so we went in and and ask the bartender if they were still serving food and he said they do pizzas until 10 so we were ok. We sat down and the waiter came straight away to take the order, we ordered a pizza and 2 paints, and then we saw another table we liked more so we asked him if we could move and he said no problem so we moved (before he even placed the order in their till as far as I remember) and even the drinks were brought to our new table. And then we waited for almost 40 minutes when we realised that we’ve been waiting for so long and that it was weird because their kitchen closed 8 minutes ago at that time. Now I know we should have asked earlier, but since we are waitresses as well we didn’t want to rush anybody because having to wait is normal when you go out for food. Well, we asked another waiter (because ours dissapeared after taking our order) if it was everything ok with our pizza and he went straight to ask the other staff. No one knew what was going on, and then a woman that I assume that was the manager (because she acted like one and faced us when we weren’t her table) came to us to apologise and said that she would try to ask the kitchen if they could do something for us and I was not surprised when she came back and said that the kitchen wouldn’t do anything and said that it was a misscomunication between the kitchen and them, and I don’t think she tried to blame us but she said something about the fact that we moved tables, but I told her that it didn’t make much sense because the waiter knew that we were moving tables, anyway she was nice to us and at least comped our drinks and gave us some olives to eat something, and apologised again. Of course the experience wasn’t completely nice because I left that place the same way I went in: hungry and also frustraded because I don’t live in the area, and I really wanted to try the nice pizzas my friend said they do and going to Rathmines is not a thing I do often. But at the same time the experience wasn’t completely bad either because the woman was nice to us and did what she could at that moment, and the beer and olives were good I’d say. I know mistakes happen but it would be good for either staff and customers that in a nice, busy and big place like your bar you guys could improve the communication with the kitchen staff. I hope when I try again this place it will...

(Verse 1) Yeah, we stepping into Kodiak, Rathmines, Dublin Where the rhythm's pumping, and the vibe keeps bubbling Me not working hard? Nah, that's a joke In Kodiak, we grindin', no time for broke

Snap a pic with a Kodak in Times Square style Watch me light up the night, make the crowd go wild Life was negative, but now it's all positive In Kodiak, we live, love, and gotta live

(Chorus) Kodiak, where the beats don't stop Rathmines, Dublin, we rise to the top Take a shot, let the Kodak capture the thrill Tonight, we celebrate, living for the thrill

(Verse 2) From the streets of Rathmines, we elevate In Kodiak, every moment's a clean slate Ne-Yo, Nayer, join the celebration Pitbull in the house, no hesitation

We work hard, play harder, that's the code In Kodiak, we break the mold Dublin nights, dancing under city lights Kodak memories, we're taking those flights

(Chorus) Kodiak, where the beats don't stop Rathmines, Dublin, we rise to the top Take a shot, let the Kodak capture the thrill Tonight, we celebrate, living for the thrill

(Bridge) Rathmines, city of dreams Kodiak's the spot, where it all redeems From the struggles to the triumphs we've seen In the heart of Dublin, where we chase the dream

(Verse 3) Raise a glass, toast to the good life In Kodiak, every moment's ripe Ne-Yo serenades, Nayer in the groove Pitbull's spitting fire, making the move

Me not working hard? Nah, that's absurd In Kodiak, we hustle, that's the word So, let the Kodak capture the bliss Rathmines, Dublin, in the night, we reminisce

(Chorus) Kodiak, where the beats don't stop Rathmines, Dublin, we rise to the top Take a shot, let the Kodak capture the thrill Tonight, we celebrate, living...

My first time here and what an unexpected experience.

I wasn't expecting the architecture of the building to have so.many features to admire.

This place meets ally criteria of a space that welcomes all. It is cosy as you enter the building. The dim lighting and awesome quirky art and cool lamps and a more lower seating couches and chairs makes you feel instantly relaxed. You almost get a sense like you are in someone's home. Interiors are very cool.

Bar staff at First bar is rocked by two humble cool dudes, and the one I dealt with is a bearded burly gent called Darren. How can you not love him. He is a great listener, excellent banter and instantly likeable character who you can gel with and have the craic with.

Love the WHEELCHAIR assessiblility here. So so good. I don't know anyone in a wheelchair however I often wonder if businesses cater for them ever and here you can definitely say it is catered for.

Middle section of the building is this humongous high ceiling white high rise with cool metal work going on. All painted white giving you an enormous sense of space and sure they have a TREE inside the building. I'm thinking they could have taller trees there as they would fit! But loved all the wooden tables and candles. There is a cool intimacy and group vibe here. So great.

Last but not least is my instant love for the outdoor area. Exposed red brick and communal shared tables and plenty of seating areas to rest your derriere to people watch... I was transported to NYC Vibes.

Highly recommended. Pizza and drinks here are excellent. Staff clearly make a difference and the buzz here is electrifying!!!...
