Oriental Emporium — Local services in Dublin

When I planned to visit this store, I'm aware that there are several negative reviews mentioning the cashier service. I thought maybe the cashier just had a bad day, so I still gave this store a shot. Unfortunately, after my visit last week, I could understand why those comments surfaced. The cashier is very rude, hostile and unbelievably racist. Why do I think she is rude & hostile? She didn't smile, even for 1 second, stood while staring at me aggressively like I'm about to steal their stuffs. It's a simple body language that she can observe if she goes to another store in the area. She didn't offer the receipt until I asked her. No well-trained cashier will do that kind of behaviour, UNLESS she is biased and racist toward several type of people. Why do I think she is RACIST? Well easy, when I queued, previous customers in front of me are white and Irish. When she served them, oh my god, the prettiest smile and loveliest body language fulfilled the building, super. It's my first and last visit. If the employer read this review and if you want to survive, you guys really need take it seriously as it has been a PATTERN to this lady cashier. Also don't forget to frequently inspect the near EOD stuffs if you don't want your customers to get poisoned. Don't bother coming to this place! The cashier lady IS SUPER RUDE & RACIST. Sighing when it was our turn to pay when she was all smiling when served a non coloured person and it was only 2 guests in the entire store including us.

Honestly, if you aren't ready to work on the service line, don't. To add to this some of the products are nearing expiration dates :/ and very few product selections, many racks are empty.

Cashier completely unprepared to serve the public. My purchase was less than 5 euros. I didn't see that the store has a policy that does not accept cards below that amount, only cash, when I told her that I didn't have cash, only card, she huffed and said that she would accept this time but it would be the first and last time, turned her back, sat down and didn't thank me.
