We planned to have a lovely family day, first bowling then dinner. I booked a 3pm slot in Leisureplex Blancharstown for a family of four €38. We arrived were greeted nicely and were directed to our lane. A member of staff helped us input names to start the game, she explained the safety rules and we got our bowling balls and started to play. We each had our first turn we were all very excitted especially my youngest daughter as it was her very first time bowling. As my other daughter took her second go the lane stopped and the lights went off. We thought what the heck.... We called a member of staff over to help, she said you are to move lanes, we had all our belongs unpacked shoes under chairs and started were happy as we had started our game, we really didn't want to move! I went to the reception to ask why are we being moved, I was told they needed the lane for a birthday party, but nobody came to us first to ask would you mind moving lane to facility a birthday party which required two lanes. Our lane was just shut down. I said to the staff member we were settled into our game and this was disruptive, I advised they should be more organised. My daughters, myself and my Fiancée were very upset. The poor staff members working directly with the bowling lanes had to deal with the mismanagement of the staff running the controls. My comment to the staff aiding us was, this is unfair to stop our game to move us for others, I said all customers should be treated the same. We did our best to get back on track with our game, my youngest daughter was winning, my Fiancée, had taken his 1st bowl of his last go, then proceed to take his second go, he and my youngest were neck & neck, we were awaiting the final score, them boom! They wiped our screen we didn't know his score and they reset for the next players allocated to our lane..SERIOUSLY!!!.... We called a member of staff to ask where our scoring was, she said oh! would you like me to get a print off for you. So our celebrations 🍾 of the winner was stolen... We sat at the lane in protest untill we received our score sheet which was actually incorrect. I said to the staff member, our bowling was ruined by what the controllers did, I said I would be writing a bad review for the treatment we received and I would discuss this with the bowling controllers on the way out. Oh! But I didn't have to wait until leaving. A blonde member of staff came thundering down to our lane, very obvious with the wrong attitude. My girls were upset my youngest was in tears... We received no apology for either of the issues that happened. I started to complain as to how we were treated. She continuously spoke over me, trying to turn the tables that it was my fault, saying I was rude to the staff since I came in! She then said how unhelpful I was when the lanes for the party went out of action. I advised her we were not made aware of that, again if it was explained and we were asked to move prior to just shutting our game off, there would of being a different reaction from us. I advised her I would be placing a bad review online. I was told I don't care what you do, she dismissed us with a flick of her hand and walked away. I was told the Manager wasnt in so this staff member took upon herself to dismiss us. Leisureplex your Senior staff need training in communication. Leisureplex Blancharstown is so mismanaged, constantly fire-fighting, communications to customers...
Read moreAbsolutely Disgusted So Me And My Boyfriend And 3 Kids Went Bowling in leisure plex Blanchardstown we were having so much fun until half way though our game and off duty manager came with her 2 kids First looked down at my kids for sitting on the other side which they moved when they came then said something to a staff member then came back and started to remove bowling balls witch my kids where using then went back over to a staff member and said something else to him and then all of a sudden we get moved by a staff member saying more people were coming that we had to move, Yet the off duty manager was still in the same seat with her 2 kids and played a full new game so I asked the member of staff why they got to stay in the same lane beside us and yet had no answer then my boyfriend went up to the desk to a girl staff member and asked why we got moved and she said because she is a manager which I don’t understand why she got special treatment to stay where she was, we ordered food which was mostly left as we were all in destress and we had no other option but to leave the premises as we felt very uncomfortable and very mistreated by the staff and also the off duty manager one of the staff kindly refunded us
We will never step foot in the door of leisure plex again for being poorly mistreated all because a off duty manager wanted to sit on her own with her kids to play happily while my kids were in distress absolutely disgusting behaviour from a member of leisure plex especially a manager of all things
My kids were absolutely disgusted we had to leave we have videos of the kids having the time of there life’s playing bowling which they enjoyed and we have videos of the kids in distress from having to leave leisure plex all the way home in the car and at home we are gutted that we won’t be able to enjoy our self’s in there again after been treated so differently all because a manager...
Read moreDon't bring your children to the zoo area here if special needs or wheelchair users I'm was just there with my son who does not play but likes to sit and eat its a sensory thing. Told we couldn't come in because he wasn't playing and its too busy but eventually let us in to a quiet area. I decided I will pay for him because he likes to sit around the back and might want to go down the slide only to be told we can't pay and have to wait on the manager I got frustrated waiting so said I will pay on the way out as nobody else had to wait and play if paying. When we got around to the back we found it was not busy at all. Why can my son who's non verbal special needs and a wheelchair user not come in and play. The manager said it was too busy for him and because his wheelchair 🤔 one rule for able bodied and one rule for disabled. They tried to explain but had no reason at all good enough for why he couldn't play tried to mention height restrictions but never mentioned measuring him when I was going in paying or not paying it wasn't mentioned once. He is the right height btw. We still had to stay as my son loves the play centre and would have had...
