I normally go to other Bunsens around Dublin and have a great time there, but today was a complete juxtaposition from my typical experience. From the moment I walked in the door, the staff were unreceptive. I only ordered a milkshake and the staff member serving me didn't say a word to me except tell me the price of the milkshake and didn't even look at me. That's okay, I paid and waited for my milkshake. 2 minutes later, the manager told me to go and sit somewhere as I was "blocking the door" in quite a disrespectful way as if I had offended her. I was standing in the middle of the restaurant far away from said door. I wasn't blocking the door but that's fine (odd behavior but fine). I sat down and less than a minute later, a customer came in to also order a milkshake. The same manager mentioned was being extremely receptive to the other customer asking where they're from and even playing with the kid of the customer ordering the milkshake. Keep in mind I have been waiting for about 10 minutes for the milkshake. Every other Bunsen I have been to was able to get my milkshake to me in under five minutes even with a packed house, it was slightly busy today. The only thing that prompted the manager to get the milkshake was the kid that came up to her. She then said to the chefs "Where's my milkshakes for the kid here?" Only God knows how long it would've taken for her to give me my milkshake if the kid wasn't there! Overall in my opinion, the milkshake was good as always since it's Bunsen, but I can't ignore the blatant preferential treatment to...
Read moreI visited Bunsen Blanchardstown on Friday evening (October 10th), and despite the place being incredibly busy with people constantly queuing, the experience was fantastic thanks to the amazing girls working on the floor. There were only three staff members managing all the tables and service, yet they went above and beyond to make sure every customer was looked after.
They were constantly on the move, multitasking minute after minute, all while staying friendly, calm, and professional. The food was, as always, top quality fresh, delicious, and perfectly cooked.
A special shoutout to the girl working Friday evening, dark hair in two braids, wearing a North Face T-shirt, she was an absolute Wonder Woman, absolutely incredible! So kind, attentive, and hardworking. She truly deserves recognition for how well she handled the chaos.
But let’s be clear, the owners and upper management should be ashamed. Having only three staff on the floor and three in the kitchen for such a busy location is completely unacceptable. The fact that these workers are forced to carry the entire operation while management sits back and lets it happen is disgraceful.
Bunsen has built a great name for its food and service, but that reputation doesn’t come from the owners, it comes from the incredible frontline staff who are being stretched to their limits. These girls aren’t just doing their jobs; they’re saving your brand every...
Read moreJust Burgers and fries, yes don't think you gonna be able to order anything but a burger with or without fries.
Bunsen sounds fancy for a joint that would have been named BURGERS.
So, what I thought, hmmm
It's a good place if everyone is not picky and wants a a burger, then this would be the best option. Seeing that they ONLY do burgers I would have expected the next level, but that is not the case
They don't offer simple additions to the burger which would be Fried onions or even jalapeno peppers, like honestly who does not allow for jalapenos.
The burger patty was so small I didn't find it until about a quarter the way through, so don't expect a decent BURGER, expect an economy burger on a non economy price tag.
The sweet potato fries are delicious, burger is ok, five guys burgers are better in my humble opinion.
Service is ok, what is nice is you get loads of water which means they want you to fill up on the free water so you feel more full after your meal, I see your strategy... Sneaky sneaky. Modern, up tempo chill vibe lounge atmosphere,
Bring the family, it's every one friendly to hungry burger munching folks, but make sure to order the double, as the regular single party will mean you off to Krispy kremes for dessert, Which they don't offer btw, unless you think a milkshake is dessert. Will I be back, not anytime...
