St. Cronan Church — Local services in The Municipal District of Thurles

We were married in a beautiful ceremony at St. Cronan's church in September. At the time of our engagement, we did not belong to a parish and did not feel any particular connection to the parishes we grew up in. After reading about how welcoming the people of St. Cronan are, as well as their commitment to social justice, we attended Mass and saw it firsthand. The St. Cronan community is truly unique and incredible. I cannot speak highly enough about Fr. Jack Schuler, who conducted our premarital counseling, and Diane, who handled ceremony logistics. They were so easy to work with, very organized, and so generous with their time & energy, ensuring a successful ceremony. David Dickey did a wonderful job with our music, and Fr. Gerry Kleba graciously stepped in as presider when Fr. Jack fell ill the day before. Saint Cronan's is a great church, with a diverse group of worshipers and an inclusive setting. You can be sure you're in St. Cronan's if you hear a baby cry and the pastor chuckles and continues talking, or the congregation prays for someone going through something hard and reaches outside of worship to help.
