Simone Del Cima - Private Chef And Cooking Class — Local services in Florence

I cannot say enough good things about Simone and Stefania, they’re just amazing and provide and unbelievable experience. If I could give 6 stars I would. My family and I asked for an 8 person cooking class dinner combo at the Airbnb we were staying at just outside of Florence. Simone was extremely responsive and it was easy to plan something, he came and inspected the place the day before, brought ALL the equipment for the cooking class and dinner, set up an hour before, stayed and cleaned for a few hours after dinner, and really just offered outstanding service overall. The cooking class was fun, interactive, such an experience, and the dinner was exquisite, with explanations about the food and the region. You can clearly see how passionate Simone is about what he does and it comes through in all aspects of the experience. The whole thing went from 5pm - 11pm, and all I can say is the price is more than worth what you’re getting. I cannot recommend Chef Simone highly enough. Great energy, funny, passionate about food, wine and the region, patient teacher, not to mention a sublime chef. Our group hired Chef Simone to provide a pasta cooking lesson and dinner for our group of 8 for a friend’s 50th birthday celebration. Having taken an early morning flight from London and navigating trains, Santa Maria Novella car rental sagas, taxis and the broiling heat, we arrived sweaty and frazzled to begin Chef Simone’s lesson. He was absolutely lovely. Though we started a little late, he was accommodating, thoughtful and patient with us as we got organized. The lesson was amazing (he gave us printed copies of the recipes to keep) and he then used the pasta we made to create one of the most spectacular meals I’ve ever eaten. For this special celebration of the birthdays of three members of our family, one fiftieth and two eightieth, we chose a villa in Florence for our venue. To help complete this Tuscan venture we engaged Private Chef Simone Cima to provide the ten members of our family, ranging from 10 to over 80 years old with a meal to remember. What a success this turned out to be. From the earliest stages of planning the meal, throughout its preparation and its ultimate delivery, Simone and his Partner, Stefania were helpful, attentive and sensitive to all our requirements. When we reflected on the evening we were unanimous in concluding that we would not have changed a single detail.
