Casa della Pelle — Local services in Siena

This is EXACTLY the store I was hoping to find during my trip to Italy earlier this month; quality unique handmade leather goods made in shop by a small producer. The shop is quaint and filled with a variety of leather items, from belts to backpacks, and the leather shop is completely visible directly behind the pay counter (in fact, one of the owners was working on some purse straps as we were shopping...aka: oogling over all of the items I wished I had unlimited funds to purchase). The owners are lovely (they dont speak english but do use a translator app) and I absolutely love...

I didnt end up buying due to not having enough time/ money at the end of the trip and is one of the biggest regret of the trip so far. The bags and leather goods are of much higher quality than anything you will find in Siena. Bags using Top grain and full grain leather from Pisa and the price is very good. Dont spend your money buying inferior product. Buy from Paulo. Even if I didnt make the purchase but after touching and feeling the product I feel extremely compelled to review this store and share to the world this amazing...

During our time in Siena we visited the old city center on a Sunday. I wanted to get a leather bag as a souvenir of our time in the area but I didn’t find what I was looking for in the other leather shops. Casa della Pelle was closed on Sunday but based on what I saw in there window display I was determined to visit and I can’t express how glad I am that I did. I made a special trip back to the city center on Tuesday to go to Casa della Pelle. While the craftsman, Paolo, was not there his lovely wife helped me to secure the perfect hand crafted leather backpack. All of their offerings are handmade of the finest leather. I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area and value traditional craftsmanship. This will be my go-to for unique gifts for loved ones in the future.

Durante il nostro tempo a Siena abbiamo visitato il centro storico di domenica. Volevo prendere una borsa di pelle come souvenir del nostro tempo nella zona, ma non ho trovato quello che stavo cercando negli altri negozi di pelle. Casa della Pelle era chiusa domenica, ma in base a quello che ho visto in vetrina ero determinato a visitare e non posso esprimere quanto sono felice di averlo fatto. Martedì ho fatto un viaggio speciale per tornare in centro città per andare a Casa della Pelle. Mentre l'artigiano, Paolo, non c'era, la sua adorabile moglie mi ha aiutato ad assicurarmi il perfetto zaino in pelle fatto a mano. Tutte le loro offerte sono fatte a mano con la migliore pelle. Consiglio vivamente di visitare se siete nella zona e apprezzate l'artigianato tradizionale. Questo sarà il mio go-to per regali unici per i miei...
