But this beautiful shop, owned by a talented artist was by far our favorite of the trip. If you want quality craftsmanship, legacy pieces that you’ll pass down to your family, look no further. Each piece is made with care and an eye for quality and beauty we purchased six different pieces, all of which made it back to the US perfectly wrapped. We ordered a pair of green pinecone lamps which arrived a couple of months later at our house in England. Domenica was so helpful and kept us updated on our order. Il laboratorio ed il negozio hanno il profumo dell'Italia autentica ed artigiana. Niente è scontato o già visto. Non troverete mai un pezzo uguale all'altro, come purtroppo avviene in giro per i negozi turistici. La sua proprietaria custodisce un'arte preziosa e la potrete trovare intenta a dipingere o plasmare quando passate da lei. Questo aprile abbiamo ordinato tutta la nostra fornitura di bomboniere per il nostro matrimonio ed ogni volta che ne consegnamo una, sento Domenica ed Andrea, suo marito, che sono lì con noi e condividono tutta l'emozione di donare un regalo fatto a mano e con amore. La spedizione poi è stata perfetta, perchè preparano in sicurezza ogni pezzo. Per le decorazioni... non voglio svelarvi niente, perchè non credereste ai vostri occhi e desidero che vi sorprendano! E' la nostra ceramista del cuore <3

My wife and I visited Ortigia last month and had been in search for a pair of ceramic Moor heads ever since we had seen them in Amalfi a couple of years ago. We traveled through Palermo and Taormina before finally finding Domenica's beautiful shop. We entered her shop and she was so gracious and kind to show us around. She really took the time to talk to us about her work and we could instantly feel how incredibly special her pieces were. We knew we had found the perfect person and store to purchase our Moor heads from! We purchased 2 of them along with some other items and they were promptly delivered (and safely) to Houston, Texas. The packaging was AMAZING and Domenica even took the time to message me when they would be delivered with the tracking information. We are moving into a new home soon and cannot wait to display her beautiful pieces. We look forward to purchasing additional items from Domenica in the future. Grazie Domenica! - Armand +...

Domenica makes her beautiful handcrafted ceramics here. My husband and I stumbled upon her store while staying at Lume down the street in May 2023. We knew we wanted to buy a pine cone, as you see them everywhere in Sicily, but we wanted to find the right shop. We knew immediately this was it. I requested a specific color, pink, similar to the pine cones she made for Lume. She did not have one in stock, but she made a custom one for me and shipped it all the way to Texas. We absolutely loved supporting her. One day, I would love to commission her to make beautiful dishes for our home. Highly recommend you stop in...

Domenica is a passionate artist. My husband and I searched every ceramic place in Ortigia and Siracusa, we literally walked for hours looking in all the ceramic shops. Domenica's pieces were the best quality, the most beautiful designs, and the best prices too. She was super helpful in calling the postal office to find out how much shipping would cost for us. We bought a beautiful platter from her and will get a set of espresso cups soon. We will definetly continue purchasing from her! Their shop is not in a well known area of Ortigia, but the city is small so...
