Well, well, well What an utterly sublime and transcendent culinary journey I recently embarked upon at Ranieri Cucina Chiacchiere e Vino on the enchanting island of Ortigia! After a protracted and arduous day, scorched by the incandescent Sicilian sun, and a few convivial libations that lubricated our spirits, we finally gravitated towards this gastronomic sanctuary. And oh, what an epicurean revelation it proved to be! To call it mere "dining" would be a gross understatement; this was an apotheosis of flavor, a panacea for the weary soul, a true cornucopia of delights that titillated every single one of my receptive senses. Each exquisite morsel that graced my palate was a testament to culinary virtuosity, a symphony of textures and aromas that reverberated with unadulterated joy. From the prelude of appetizers to the crescendo of the main courses, and the harmonious denouement of dessert, every dish was an unmitigated triumph, a veritable feast for the gods. Ranieri is not just a restaurant; it's an unforgettable odyssey into the very heart of Sicilian culinary perfection. P.s. the cat appeared to liked it too!

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Ranieri and truly believe it’s one of the best—if not the best—restaurants in Ortigia. The quality of the food was outstanding, far surpassing other places in the area, yet the prices were very similar. We ordered fish-based pasta, mains, and desserts, and everything was simply incredible. As an Italian from Naples, I’m used to high culinary standards, and I can honestly say this was one of my favorite dining experiences. The flavors were refined yet authentic, and every dish was prepared with real care and skill. There’s no doubt that if we return to Ortigia, we’ll be reserving a table here again. Highly recommended!

A hidden gem in Ortigia! I absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere is lovely and peaceful, just by the church, far from the busy tourist spots near the Fountain of Arethusa. It feels calm and authentic; perfect if you’re looking to enjoy good food in a more relaxed setting. The service was excellent, everyone was kind and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. What really stood out was the quality of the food: high-end, delicious, and beautifully presented. And for what you pay, it’s definitely worth it. This restaurant is a real find. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a genuine and high-quality dining experience in Ortigia ✨

We saw this lovely spot walking around during the day and returned for dinner after reading the great reviews! So glad we did - every second of service and every bite was exquisite from start to finish. The kindest people - a darling couple own the restaurant and their staff is amazing!

The pasta dish was AMAZING, the steak was cooked to perfection, the sea bass was exceptionally prepared and our burrata and mixed salad before our main courses were perfect! I would recommend this restaurant to ANYONE wanting a great meal. Casual, yet elegant and prices are great too!

We had yummy wine and cocktails rounding out a fabulous experience! Thank you for a...
