Pane di Mare — Restaurant in Syracuse

I’m giving two stars because that was a fair deal for the bar. Great place to just get drinks just on order any food extremely expensive and you bring your salad and your meal out at the same time. Very unclassy to do that.

My friend got risotto seafood risotto. Risotto mostly because they didn’t have any seafood in. It was on top of it. Lagastino “big shrimp” on top of it was spoiled nasty

I got a ribeye steak with this sauce all over it it was not restaurant quality steak wasn’t even select very bland and over cooked .. the kind of beef that needs to go to get made in a hamburgers and make a McDonald’s cheeseburger. Very, very unclassy indeed. And the price for what they charge it should’ve been top-of-the-line.

We love this restaurant as the food is delicious & the staff are so friendly & enjoyable. We’ve had lunch here many times during our month stay in Ortigia. We usually select the salads where you pick the choices of ingredients so each salad is unique. But I’ve seen other customers eating sandwiches so one day I ordered the Maremonti sandwich & I moaned with delight over the complex & delicious flavors! Today, with friends, I encouraged them to try this sandwich & they agreed it was special! The food and price were both good, however I’m giving 2 stars for the service because I didn’t like it at all. We didn’t reserve the table so when we show up at 9PM of course we had to wait (like other people) which is perfectly understandable, but the manager kept giving priority to people that arrived after us multiple times. There was a group of people that had to wait 10 minutes and we waited for 1 hour.
