Non vedo l'ora di tornare! E' stata una serata magnifica all'insegna dell'ottimo cibo e del buon vino. La Torre di Lavello è un pittoresco, delizioso ristorante nel cuore della piccola bellaTuscania (Viterbo). Arredamento semplice in un contesto medievale, pergolati...scalette...e la sensazione di essere avvolti in un'atmosfera da "Il nome della Rosa". Mi sono recata presso questo ristorante con degli amici del luogo che ci hanno anche consigliato cosa mangiare e cosa bere. Il menu' è ricco di prelibatezza...non sapevo proprio cosa scegliere! Poi siccome anche gli altri s'erano stufati di aspettarmi ho preso un piatto di tagliolini al ragu' di coniglio e ho diviso con altro commensale un filetto tornados con tartufo e verdure croccanti. Inizialmente però sono stati anche portati diversi piatti di mozzarella di bufala e cinta senese. Non credo di aver mai gustato un prosciutto cosi' delizioso! Si scioglieva in bocca...! Dopo questo assaggio siamo passati ai primi..e la'...silenzio!! Erano le papille gustative che facevano festa...! Un sapore indimenticabile, raffinato..ma al tempo stesso con odori di casa e di famiglia. Un piatto a dir poco..natalizio! La porzione era assolutamente adeguata (non che non ne avrei mangiato ancora se ce ne fosse stato....ma questo solo perchè era davvero un piatto squisito). Il filetto era eccezionale (avrei aggiunto ancora un po' di tartufo ma solo per gusto personale!) e anche se non mangio molta carne in generale credo che sia la manifestazione dell'ideale che tutti abbiamo del filetto! La cantina dei vini è ben fornita e anche quella dei distillati..i dolci sono tutti ottimi e preparati al momento. Io ho preso un semifreddo zabaione e cioccolata con amaretti...da sballo ma anche chi ha preso la creme brulèe e la millefoglie alla crema si è detto deliziato. Il servizio è stato veloce e gentile e il prezzo assolutamente accettabile (circa € 80 a coppia: antipasto come descritto, due primi, un secondo a coppia...due bottiglie di vini ottimi, due distillati finali...5 dessert)....

We came to Civitavecchia port on a cruise ship and we chose to visit Tuscania instead did Rome to try something new. We had lunch at this restaurant and it did NOT disappoint. The food was so fresh and delicious, my husband and I wanted to order the whole menu to try it out. Everything was perfect, from food to ambiance and view.
