My family, as an Amarone wine lovers, was longing to one day stride along the region that produces this amazing wines and engulf ourselves both in knowledge and experiencing this nectar. It is to our great fortune that we found Michelangelo and his tours. Not only we had an spectacular worry free full day enchanted by the views of these hills and the warmth of the people who cultivates the wine, but we had the opportunity to learn their processes, their dedication and the culture, all with great smiles. This would be for us our 5th wineries tour around the world, but nothing comes close to this Amarone experience, not for the great wines, but for the quality of the service provided. We were pampered if I can call it this way. Our guide was very knowledgeable not only of the region but to every other different wine our conversations turned about, he knew! We were in fact very lucky to have this guide which we gave him before departing our entire dozen bottles to be shipped overseas and all arrived within a week in perfect shape. We are planning to bring next time some relatives to Verona and scheduling it with Michelangelo will be my...
Read moreWow! Of all the wine tours and tasting we have been on this by far was the best. Michelangelo's communication was tremendous from our initial inquiry all the way through the end of the trip. Serena was our guide for the day and made it the memory of a lifetime. She provided a tremendous balance between half of our group that are wine nerds and in to the details. She had outstanding knowledge of the region, the grapes, the processes and every detail of the process. And also helped keep it fun and entertaining for the other half of our group that was more so out to enjoy a day and not as concerned with the details of the wine itself. We tasted some of the greatest wines we have ever tasted. They are incredibly helpful with arranging to have wine we purchased shipped back to our home in Texas. They recommended a restaurant for lunch that i will be dreaming about for years to come. The craftsmanship behind making Amarone is second to no other form of processing wine. The Valpolicella region has sweeping beauty from the foothills of the Alps. I could not recommend more and cannot wait to...
Read moreThis tour was one of the highlights of our trip, I booked it at the last minute as we couldn’t do the dates that my partner had chosen and booked another wine tour. We were in Soave for two days and Michelangelo was accommodating enough to book the tour for us for the next day. I couldn’t be more pleased with the wineries visited and the tour guide Serena. She was lovely, we enjoyed her company and her knowledge. The wineries visited were beautiful and not the larger cookie cutter mass producers. We met the actual families and were welcomed into their houses. Then comes the amarone and olive oils ! Need we say more ? Just amazing. Serena collected all wines purchased and Michelangelo shipped them back for us. The communication on his end was superb and I knew where my shipment was and when to expect it. I would reccomended this wine tour above all else. Ps: the restaurant that she took us to in Verona for lunch was the one of the best meals I had in...
