I came here as part of a Mt Fuji tour. The boat is decorated as a pirate ship - I would think a red seal ship would be more appropriate for the culture.

The boat is broken in two parts: front is first class (premium) and others (mid to back of boat). The ride is over calm waters and has some pretty nice views of the area including Mount Fuji and the Hakone Shrine.

I think it is a good idea to try it. If not part of the tour, I'm not really sure how one can get back to the otherside of the lake to...

Took the ferry at this location. Other reivews are for the pirate boat but I'm pretty sure that leaves just south of here. Ferry was decent. Pirates were shut down due to wind. Ferry is about 50% of the price for same view but less fun boat of course. Inside of ferry was nice and out of...

I had a great time on the ferry tour on Lake Ashi. Even though the weather was overcast and couldn't see Mt. Fuji, the views of the surrounding area were beautiful.
