素敵な観光地の駅！ Celebrated Touristic railway station! A fishing harbor with a renown fireworks festival in summer! For railway buffs: Itō Station (伊東駅 Itō-eki) is a railway station located in the northern part of Itō, Shizuoka, Japan. It is the terminal station for the Itō Line of the East Japan Railway Company and the Izu Kyūkō Line of the Izukyū Corporation, as well as a freight depot for the Japan Freight Railway Company. Itō Station opened on December 15, 1938 when the section of the Itō Line linking Ajiro with Itō was completed. On December 10, 1961, Izu Kyūkō began operations on a line linking Itō with Shimoda. Freight services were discontinued from October 1, 1980, but were resumed on March 31, 1987. On April 1, 1987 along with division and privatization of the Japan National Railway, East Japan Railway Company started operating this station. Itō Station has a single island platform serving Track 1 and Track 2 and a single side platform serving Track 3. The platforms are connected by an underpass. The Izu Kyūkō trains use the outer Tracks 1 and 3, whereas the Itō Line pulls into Track 2, and reverses out in the opposite direction. Small station. The trains running about every 25minutes (cmiiw).... so if you are going to tokyo or atami to take shinkansen ...don't be late to catch the train ..even only just one second late, you have to wait 25~30 minutes for the next train ... when you go from tokyo to ito station ...or to kawazu station..make sure you take a seat at left side or sea side window ... the view...

久しぶりに 伊東から片瀬白田に乗車しましたが いつの間にか起点駅２４キロ以上乗車時に ２日間有効だった切符が 当日限りの切符に改悪されていました。

以下は消すのが 面倒なのでそのままで

伊豆急行は乗車駅から２４キロを越えると 切符は２日間有効になります。 伊東から２４キロ越えが 伊豆熱川になります。

伊豆熱川から先の切符を買えば 伊豆高原や伊豆熱川 河津辺りで１泊して 同じ切符で伊豆急下田に向かえます。 但し 逆走...
