STAYTUS — Local services in Kagoshima

The location is superb, room was clean, spacious and with a nice balcony. The room provided all you need on a leisure trip. The only downside was it was super complicated and time consuming to contact the hostel for entrance pin, check-in procedure and check-in number. We asked the front desk receptionist of our previous hotel to call the hostel number stated on trip.com booking confirmation email in morning, but no one picked up; called again at 3pm, and the hostel hotline said the number was wrong and referred us to call another number. If we did not have the assistance from a Japanese local receptionist from another hotel, I dont think we could get the entrance pin and check-in procedure information smoothly.I recommend this hostel to Japanese local, or tourists with a Japanese mobile number to make calls/able to find assistance from Japanese...

I had a great stay here, after the tiny hotel rooms it was such a nice change to have a larger room, or rather a mini apartment. Great location close to the station and right behind the bus terminal but super quiet. Extensive information beforehand for self check in. Super clean, body soap, Shampoo, conditioner and dishwashing detergent provided, also a fresh sponge and towels. The detailed information folder is also very helpful and the staff are responsive via message. The only comment would be that the pillows are quite high and it would have been an extra nice touch to have some basics such as soy sauce available. Bit for sure highly...

Room was a decent size, fully equipped with washing machine, kitchen utensils, fridge, microwave. Very clean.Unfortunately I did not receive the email with the entry code for the main entrance. That resulted in my waiting outside in the cold for almost an hour before getting the code through Trip.com customer service, before I could enter the building and into my room.Also, Staytus only has a phone number to call for emergencies - it would be helpful to have at least an email alternative also, since foreigners may not have a mobile phone that can make...
