This hotel is right next to and practically attached to the Kagoshima-Chuo Train Station. Excellent location, just take the west exit by Bic Camera, go down the escalator and you're there! For American's who need a large room this is not for you. Price wise and value you can't beat it. We got a room rate which included breakfast, well worth it. If you opt to buy the breakfast it's about $9.00 USD per person. Mostly Japanese breakfast, but they do offer some Western options such as eggs and sausage, coffee (excellent) and bread products. If you don't want to spend the money, less than 1 block away is Family Mart. The hotel has washer and dryers 3 each to be exact. 200.00 yen for wash and 100.00 yen to dry. It will take 200.00 yen to dry if you have thick items. The hotel is clean! Although the rooms are on the smaller side by American standards, I'd say it's about the same as a standard cruiseship room. The bathroom has a deep bath tub, and good amenities. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. House slippers, robes, hair dryer, and water heater to make tea. They provide green tea packets. In room fridge too. Only thing missing is a room safe. No biggie, we just locked our bags. The staff is very kind. If you don't speak Japanese just make sure you have Google translate. Some staff members speak more English than others. Excellent internet too! No body lotion but you can buy one at Family Mart. The Kagoshima-Chuo station has a handful of places to eat. If you walk to the opposite side of the station, east exit you'll find more shopping and restaurants. You will also be at Kagoshima-Chuo eki Mae where the trams run. If you're expecting a 5 star hotel, go stay at one and pay the high price for it and the inconvenience we'd rather spend their money on other things. They also have those wonderful TOTO toilets! This is classified a 3 star, many business men stay here along with a mix of leisure travelers. This hotel is safe, and in a very safe area, we enjoyed it and highly recommend it! Sorry no room photos cause when I wrote the review I...

Read moreOutside of train station doors & to the left, check with Information for the correct door. Check in was fine, friendly English speaking person at desk, up to room 1407, with view of ferris wheel & volcano, very nice. We had a Hollywood Twin, large clean room with 2 double beds with 2 windows. Desk, chair, table, 2 chairs, kettle, tea, fridge, TV, free wi-fi, pyjamas, slippers, tissues, fully stocked bathroom, fog free mirror. All nice. There is also a microwave in the lobby for heating items.||||Breakfast buffet for 800 Y, good price, large with lots of tasty Japanese items, great challenge to figure out how to eat them properly, one (their local dish) did have instructions. . Also, omelette eggs, bread, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea, juices. Interesting, tasty and fun to try. ||||Lots of shopping & restos attached to or in the train station as well Family Mart & BIC Camera close by. Great hotel and would stay...
