This is more a review of a product and store policy than the store and staff itself.
I have used Apple’s products for years mostly because of the easy and stress free customer service. Not at Apple Japan specifically with the Beats products. They claim to have no expertise in the Beats products, so if you have any issue, the best they can do is ship it to the factory and wish you good luck. It gets worse. In Japan, they will charge you before they know what the problem is, and since they have no idea about the issue, the procedure is just to charge the maximum amount possible and sent you home waiting for a week or two. Insane. In my case I had a Powerbeats Pro that suddenly started having issues pairing, when I came to Apple Store Lazona Kawasaki, the clerk did zero diagnosis of the product and just shamelessly told me that I would have to pay ¥24.000 plus taxes and since it’s more than buying a new product a should just buy a new one. What a horrible costumer service. What kind of insane policy is that of charging the customer before knowing what the problem is?? Zero stars for the procedure. The staff tried to be friendly but at the end the guy seemed annoyed telling me that I should have bought the Apple Care for the product and then I could exchange it. I don’t need Apple care for a PowerBeats, the Beats company that needs to make products that are reliable and last longer than 14 months. Very disappointed with the quality of the product and the quality of...

The Apple Store at Lazona Kawasaki Plaza is in a prime location on the second deck — super easy to get to whether you park on the same level (like I did) or arrive by train. If you’re driving, you can park on the second deck and walk right into the middle mezzanine area where there’s a stage and a grassy hangout space for families — the store is just off that. If you’re coming via the JR Line, you exit straight into Lazona Plaza, and the Apple Store is right there in the main gathering area. Either way, it’s impossible to miss.
Service here was excellent — the store was busy, but every employee I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and ready to help. They greeted me right at the door, listened to what I needed, and got it done fast.
I’ve been hunting for the iPhone 16 Pro Max for months. Every cellular store near where I live had a waitlist ranging from 30 days to four months. Here? I walked in, bought it in five minutes, had my SIM swapped, and walked out rocking and rolling.
If you want efficient service, knowledgeable staff, and the latest Apple gear without the wait, this is the...
Read moreMade a reservation to buy an iPhone pro, but when I arrived, they said that they would not sell me a sim free model. They said there was no stock of sim free phones and that I could only have one if I signed a contract.
That makes no sense because a) they definitely had stock, b) all of their phones are sim free until they’re activated on a carrier, and c) they said if I bought one online I could pick it up there. If they have no stock (which they did because I called apple and checked), then I wouldn’t be able to buy online and pick it up there.
I don’t know why they were lying but my guess is that the carriers are paying them a subsidy, so people who want sim free models can whistle.
The prohibition on the sale of sim free iphones pro is not mentioned anywhere on their website, the apple people I called had no knowledge of it and it also doesn’t apply to regular iPhones. It stinks to high heaven and I’m so annoyed that they wasted my time that I’m not going to bother updating my phone. They...
