「琴平町：金刀比羅宮大門(おおもん)」コロナ禍中は寂しい限りでしたが、2024年現在は大変賑わっていました。本宮までは、まだ半分くらいです。ここからの見晴らしは最高です。金刀比羅宮（ことひらぐう）は、かつて水軍や漁民から信仰を集めた海の守り神です。明治以前は神仏混淆の金毘羅大権現（象頭山松尾寺金光院）と呼ばれていました。現在は全国から参拝者が訪れ「こんぴらさん」の呼び名でも親しまれています。この大門（おおもんと読みます）は2層入母屋造瓦葺きで1650年に初代高松藩主・松平頼重が寄進したものです。立派です。
