We've been here a few times, each time was equally unhelpful. Had been comparing different carriers to get a Japanese phone number/SIM card. The staff seemingly tried to be helpful by referring us to their colleague (seems to be their senpai), then attempting to sell us a two-year Yahoo Mobile contract...knowing we'd only be in Japan for a year. He told us to pay the $100 cancellation fee when we leave in a year. We later found the prepaid/short term SIM card section by asking a younger girl in Yodobashi uniform who was restocking.....turns out there are six-month contracts offered by several carriers including Yahoo Mobile. Had my worst experience shopping at this yodobashi camera.

Was trying to buy a pack of Pokémon cards, and yet was faced with a lot of questions from the sales stuff about why I buy them. Do I collect them and said that I can’t even understand the cards to play them.

Why Yodobashi? Why is there a need for your staff to shame consumers at Nagoya branch? And he can’t speak English so I was trying to convey with my elementary Japanese. But his tone was harsh and probably the rudest I have ever met

TLDR: Ask staff to show you the product in the box before committing as they don’t do refunds & also compatibility of iPhone camera lens protector with the cover

I bought a phone cover ( 3490 YEN) that was last on the rack and when I opened it, to my dismay; the interior lining is not properly aligned to the rim. I tried to ask for a refund but the cashier and his supervisor refused saying it doesnt impact the functionality. Cashier even went out of the way to spin a story that if the cloth is fully lined, the phone would not be able to fit the cover - to me this is a lie as the other side is perfectly lined. I also bought a camera lens protector and after the phone cover issue, he told me that the one I selected is not compatible with what I purchased. It is a joke. To be fair, he did spend time trying to find me an alternative product but this can be avoided if they just refunded me.
