Our recent visit to Trip Craft Naha in Okinawa was a major disappointment. We were excited to participate in a family craft session making Okinawan shisa with clay but left feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. Here are the key issues we encountered:
Poor Instruction Quality: The craft session had very few instructions. The shopkeeper merely showed us the instructions and expected us to follow them without demonstrating how to do it. This lack of proper guidance made the experience quite frustrating, especially for beginners.
Inaccessible Bathroom: Despite the shop having a bathroom, we were told it was only for employees. We were directed to find a bathroom at a nearby convenience store, which was particularly difficult as we had kids with us for a 2-hour session. This lack of consideration for customer comfort was disappointing.
Rushed Experience: The entire session felt rushed. As soon as our 2-hour time slot was up, the shopkeeper asked us to leave, even though there were no other customers waiting and we were not occupying any of her attention. We were not given time to wrap up our crafts properly, which left us feeling hurried and unappreciated.
Unfriendly Treatment: It was apparent that the shopkeeper was more friendly towards local customers. As foreign tourists, we felt unwelcome and overlooked, which greatly affected our experience.
Overall, we do not recommend Trip Craft to any foreign tourists visiting Okinawa. The poor instruction quality, lack of basic facilities, rushed atmosphere, and unwelcoming attitude made our visit highly...
