Really lovely building tucked away from the busy away from the busy arcade. You can find it from the arcade down a very unassuming and narrow alley.

The building houses a cafe, tourist information, restaurant, craft shop and a tea room (and apparently a small museum which we didn’t see).

Strongly recommend visiting at the very least to take a break and find recommendations for other hidden gems in and around Nara.

The shop on the first floor has a broad selection of homeware and gifts sourced from local craftspeople and historic manufacturers that range from teas to ceramics to naturally dyed fabrics. It has a nice selection of carefully made products. Staff were very attentive and helpful.
