Then we learned we could make our own. There’s a wide variety of styles and price points. Miu who works there was excellent and super friendly! She was patient and helped us throughout the process of finding the right size and fit! You have the option of different shapes (round, square, and octagon), then a shiny or more matte and textured finish. Then you use a hammer to tap the ring to get the desired shape and texture. My partner and I walked in when visiting Nara and we were able to get an appointment for custom rings within one hour as the available slots were conveniently listed outside of the shop.

The staff was so sweet and one of the workers spoke very good English which was really helpful. They walked us through the entire experience and made sure our rings fit perfectly. They helped us pick our styles, sizes, and engravings as well.

We stumbled by this shop by chance and decided to make custom rings. The experience is about 60 minutes and there are a lot of options to choose from. You get to do the work of creating the pattern on your ring which was a lot of fun and makes it feel very personalized. There is also an option to engrave the inside of the ring.
