Dolce Kosanjimae Store — Local services in Onomichi

Came after eating some lemon ramen. Got the lemon and orange flavour. I’m lactose intolerant and thankfully these are both sorbets. Both are very refreshing and would get again.

Only complaint is the service. The person working at the front was maybe having a bad day or something but they seems very sharp in their answers and requests. When we seemed confused, she just stared at us as if we were dumb and didn’t provide any more context. While the ice cream was good, the service from this one person was a little off putting.

Place also accepts card which is nice.

Also you are coming they will first ask how many flavours, then you will list the flavours, the person will get them, then you pay. We had to find this ourselves not through her help but frantically guessing what she needed for us to stop blankly staring.

Also, while I was paying, since I bought one for my friend as well, the worker put and hid the food behind her instead of handing it to my friend. This is not typical ice cream nor gelato. The taste is a little unique compare to the rest, believe it's due to the milk the shop uses. Had sea salt (green) and the local tangerine flavor (yellow). Simply the best! A must try...
