We came here specifically to buy shoes. The salesperson could communicate in English but had a rather poor service, which is rare, in my opinion.
Despite that it was not crowded on a weekday in the afternoon, the salespersons did not serve or ask us if we need any help.
When asked about size, the salesperson, Mr. Matsushima asked another, Ms. Melody to bring the shoe to us and went to serve a group of ladies LOL! The one who brought the shoes and size to me did not render further customer service. I went to look at some shoes next to the same salespersons. Instead of serving and render their experience or opinions, they were busy talking to each other, seemingly about the customers (as they were looking and nodding at different groups of people) and neither were they serving other groups who entered. I have to qualify that it is COMMON to see salespersons attending to our needs - sizing, opening up the shoelaces, pricing (before and after tax) and many more.
In the end, my family bought shoes but not me. I didn’t think the customer service value-added to my shopping exp.
I walked past other Onitsuka Tiger stores and the salespersons were enthusiastic despite (me) just walking past their stores.
My recommendation, avoid here and go to other stores for a better experience since there are so many...

A really nice female staff told me only the display pair is available so I said nevermind, as I didn’t want to pay full price for a display pair. At the same time, I inspected the display pair and notice some specific scuff marks on the back of the heel. I took a mental note of it out of habit. I was prepared to leave when another more senior male staff they told me to wait while they check again. He took the display shoes to the back and a while later, came back with 2 boxes while his female colleague unpacked some shoes and helped me with trying the size on etc even though I said it’s okay I’ve already tried them before and I know my size but she did everything in a hurry and honestly I lost track of what came out of what box so I just let her do her thing. The male colleague said they “specially found this for me from the back” which was weird because they previously said only a display pair was available. So anyway I paid and left. When I got back and opened the box, you guessed it… the same scuff marks I saw on the display pair. I’m pretty sure they just LIED and switched out the display pair with another size so I would just take it thinking it...
Read moreWent there yesterday and it was great, I know not the name of the employee but he had a trainee badge, curly hair and thick glasses. His service was really top notch and incredible to say the least. Not to mention he was kinda cute ^^ so that really helped. Ended up buying two shoes so that I can experience his whole service again. Although English and Chinese weren’t his forte hearing him try to speak with us so earnestly really made me feel good. He works really fast and efficiently. I easily get flattered from his words and teachings of the way of the shoes. I hope he gets promoted, it was the first time in my life I was so impressed with customer service. As we were leaving he been bowed and exclaimed thank you to us in both Chinese and Japanese. I was very impressed (and flattered for that matter) by him and his service. If anyone finds out his name please let me know, his socials too ! I regret not asking him for it.
