Amazing experience with loving people. Passion, kindness, patience, and a love for their craft are easily seen within the first few minutes. Everybody was so nice and explained everything thoroughly, even with a language barrier.
I was afraid of awkwardness and hurting myself but it was all put aside before the workshop even began. Our guide and aid, Yuji, was amazing in helping us through each step as it was explained. There is an insightful lesson to be learned in something that Japanese history prides itself in. The knives in the store are all hand crafted and worth looking at and considering. They were thoughtful with helping me pick a knife perfect for the person I was planning to gift it to and I am truly honored. Everyone here are wonderful and I definitely plan to come back to Sakai during my next visit to pick out another good cooking knife for myself, now that I know how to sharpen and...
